CIA Update

CIA has withdrawn Ralph Goff, an agency veteran and vocal supporter of Ukraine, from consideration to serve as its chief of clandestine operations. Goff had been appointed and given a start date for later this month before he was pulled from consideration. The CIA’s DDO is responsible for overseeing the agency’s covert activity and the gathering of HUMINT, one of the most challenging and vital aspects of the agency’s work. The role is commonly seen as one of the most powerful jobs in the agency. No immediate explanation was given as to why Goff had been withdrawn from consideration for this important position. Goff’s career at CIA spanned 35 years, and included significant stretches in the Middle East, Central Asia, and Europe. CIA declined to comment on this story.

MI6, CSIS, ASIO, and other NATO intelligence agencies have paid strict to this significant victory for Vladimir Putin.

Felon Musk Visits CIA HQ, Nose Pins Handed Out

The worst person in the world recently visited CIA HQ for talks on government efficiency. This is the first time Musk has visited the CIA since the establishment of DOGE.

Unlike other government departments, DOGE isn’t going to get unlimited access to CIA databases or internal systems because most of it is top secret, a source familiar with the issue said. CIA has an internal DOGE team that was formed after Trump’s executive order. The team that includes CIA career officials has been working for several weeks.

CIA officials didn’t give Musk an intelligence briefing, but discussed with him “how the CIA is unique” in comparison to other government agencies. Musk visited NSA HQ a few weeks ago, and they too must have placed clothespins over their noses.

Does anyone on the planet think that UK PM Keir Starmer, Canada PM Mark Carney, Russian President Vladimir Putin, Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu, or Chinese Premiere Xi Jinping would allow Felon Musk into their main intelligence agency headquarters?

National security adviser Mike Waltz’s team regularly set up chats on Signal to coordinate official work on issues including Ukraine, China, Gaza, the Middle East, Africa, and Europe, according to four people who have been personally added to Signal chats.

Two of the people said they were in or have direct knowledge of at least 20 such chats. All four said they saw instances of sensitive information being discussed.

It’s a more extensive use of the app than previously reported and sheds new light on how commonly the Trumpf administration’s national security team relies on Signal, a publicly available messaging app, to conduct its work. D/CIA Ratcliffe and D/DNI Tulsi Gabbard were already grilled by the US Senate over the previous court-martial offense of using a commercial phone app while discussing national security information about bombing the Houthis. The Israeli Mossad were livid because the group chat on Signal discussed one of their HUMINT sources in Yemen.

Now we learn that Mike Waltz and other senior officials also use their personal Gmail accounts for government business. The administration’s handling of sensitive information is already under severe scrutiny, and Gmail is even less secure than Signal.

“Whoever knowingly and willfully communicates, furnishes, transmits, or otherwise makes available to an unauthorized person, or publishes, or uses in any manner prejudicial to the safety or interest of the US or for the benefit of any foreign government to the detriment of the US any classified information shall be fined under 18 USC 798 or imprisoned not more than ten years, or both.”

USSECDEF Pete Hellsbreath Plagiarizes Heritage Foundation

The hits just keep coming with this All-Star line-up selected by Dotard Trumpf. USSECDEF Pete Hellsbreath issued a secret memo outlining US military priorities which comes straight from the conservative Heritage Foundation, including some passages that are nearly word-for-word duplications of text published by the think tank in 2024. The memo outlines Trumpf’s vision to prepare for and win a potential war against Beijing and defend the US from threats in the “near abroad,” which may include Greenland and/or the Panama Canal. Iran is mentioned several times as a powerful adversary.

Besides spilling classified information on Signal to an uncleared journalist which the US military pilots said potentially endangered their mission bombing starving Houthis on Israel’s behalf, Hellsbreath committed other blasphemies. He brought his wife into official meetings and like a good nepotist, gave his brother a cushy job in the Pentagon. Lacking any imagination, Hellsbreath, who was removing all traces of minorities and females from DOD websites, stole the blueprints for America’s national security from a conservative think-tank itching to get America involved in another war, most likely against Iran.

Notorious Islamophobe Sebastian Gorka is a senior advisor to Trumpf and wants to destroy Iran.

A US-led war against Iran has been a dream of Israel, AIPAC, and Islamophobic Republicans for decades because Tehran stands up for the Palestinians. ICC-indicted war criminal Putin will warn his protege in the White House that attacking Iran is not in the Kremlin’s interest. Russia has invested heavily in Iran which provides them drones and other materiel. ICC-indicted war criminal Benjamin Netanyahu and US Senator Chuck Schumer (D-NY) will just have to settle for American taxpayer-funded, US military strikes on the starving Shia Houthis for the time being.

Loyalty Tests Purge National Security Staff

Dotard Trumpf fired six national security council staffers after a fraught meeting in the Oval Office where the far-right psychopathic Laura Loomer presented opposition research against a number of staffers that she said showed they were disloyal to the US president.

The firings encompassed four staffers who were fired overnight, right after the meeting, and two who were removed over the weekend. This created the extraordinary situation where Loomer appeared to have more influence than national security adviser Mike Waltz over the NSC and undercutting Waltz in having his own aides axed.

The fired officials included Brian Walsh, the senior director for intelligence who previously worked for now USSECSTATE Marco Rubio on the Senate intelligence committee; Thomas Boodry, the senior director for legislative affairs who previously served as Waltz’s legislative director in Congress; and Maggie Dougherty, the senior director for international organizations.

FBI Raid Home of Computer Scientist Who is Now Incommunicado

Xiaofeng Wang, a prominent computer scientist who has spent 20 years publishing academic papers on cryptography, privacy, and cybersecurity, has gone incommunicado. His professor profile, email account, and phone number were removed by his employer, Indiana University, after his home was raided by the FBI. No one knows why.

“The FBI conducted court authorized law enforcement activity at homes in Bloomington and Carmel Friday. We have no further comment at this time.”

Maryland Man Wrongfully Deported to Notorious El Salvador Prison

The Trumpf junta has been using the archaic Alien Enemies Act of 1798 to circumnavigate the immigration review and judicial process enshrined in the US Constitution. This “shoot first, ask questions later” approach will lead to terrible mistakes, like this appalling episode.

The Trumpf administration admitted in a court filing that an “administrative error” and an “oversight” resulted in a Salvadoran man’s deportation and imprisonment in a supermax prison in El Salvador, despite a legal order prohibiting his removal there.

Kilmar Abrego Garcia was removed from the US on 15 Mar as part of a series of deportation flights that sent hundreds of alleged gang members to a notorious prison in El Salvador, even though an immigration judge had granted him a legal protection from deportation.

There is no information as to how the Trumpf junta will return Mr. Garcia to the US and what his physical condition is after being in a notorious mega-prison crammed with hardened criminals and real gang-members for two weeks.

Judge Holds ICE Agent in Contempt of Court

Boston Municipal Judge Mark Summerville is holding ICE agent Brian Sullivan in contempt after he detained a suspect while the man was on trial. The agent detained Wilson Martell-Lebron last week as he was leaving court. Judge Summerville issued a ruling against Sullivan, arguing that he had deprived Martell-Lebron of his rights to due process and a fair trial by taking him into custody.

“It’s a case of violating a defendant’s right to present at trial and confront witnesses against him,” Judge Mark Summerville said from the bench. “It couldn’t be more serious.”

Summerville dismissed the charge against Martell-Lebron of making false statements on his driver’s license application — namely that he wasn’t Martell-Lebron. After that, Summerville filed the contempt charge against Sullivan, which could lead Suffolk County District Attorney Kevin Hayden to review the case and determine if any charges should be filed.

American Policing at Local Levels Needs Complete Overhaul

As if living under the Trumpf junta wasn’t terrible enough, the legacy of hiring underqualified or racist police officers at the local level in America continues, as you have read here on Coriolanus. Here are more examples of serious dysfunction.

NJ State Trooper Arrested for Alleged Dog Killing, Vandalism, Assault

A New Jersey state trooper faces multiple charges after allegedly shooting and killing his dog, fleeing his home, vandalizing a stop sign, and assaulting a local police officer.

Authorities arrested Alexander Lark in Wayne Township. He is charged with aggravated assault, resisting arrest, criminal mischief, and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose. He also faces a municipal violation for discharging a firearm. Animal cruelty charges are pending. An affidavit of probable cause states that Lark appeared to be under the influence of an unidentified substance.

Four Texas Deputies Commit Suicide in Six Weeks

The Harris County sheriff’s office in Texas is mourning the loss of four current and former deputies who died by suicide in just six weeks. There is insufficient information to correlate anything connecting the four at this time and Coriolanus will not speculate as to what drove these deputies to kill themselves, but clearly something is amiss in Harris County and in American policing in general.

American policing requires a complete overhaul, but this will never happen. The US has thousands of counties and local municipalities within 50 states, each with their own standards, budgets, and hiring practices. So, Americans have to suffer not only with professional jackbooted police officers at the federal level, but with a melange of unfit police officers at the local levels.

The late oligarch Brian Thompson, CEO of UnitedHealthCare (UHC) amassed himself a tidy fortune by denying healthcare to premium-paying patients using cost-benefit analysis of who gets to live and who gets to die. The strategy used was “Delay, Deny, and Defend” to fight payouts to people who paid thousands of dollars in premiums to the AARP Medicare Advantage program he operated, one of the worst health insurers in the world. UHC’s aggressive and appealing marketing campaigns bring them thousands of unknowing elderly customers every year who go on to receive the worst medical outcomes. Coriolanus knew a suffering victim of Brian Thompson– a man who put profits over people– and so the oligarch paid the ultimate price for his greed.

As predicted here on Coriolanus last year, the US government must ruthlessly provide an example to the masses that truthful yet dangerous messaging and actions won’t be tolerated. The federal government immediately began its parallel prosecution of Luigi Mangione because capital punishment was de facto abolished in the Empire State in 2004.

An indictment is merely an accusation. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Australia Shuts Down Six Confucius Institutes

Six Australian universities have quietly closed Chinese government-linked Confucius Institutes (CI) on their campuses, leaving seven open nationwide. Canberra has ramped up scrutiny on the education centers over concerns that Beijing is using them to spread propaganda and spy on Chinese international students. Beijing says its Confucius Institutes, which offer Chinese language and cultural classes overseas, are a “bridge reinforcing friendship” with the world. Western intelligence agencies have been concerned about Beijing’s global reach through these education centers. Some universities in America and Europe also closed some of their branches.

AI estimates there are approximately 30 Confucius Institutes operating in the US, down from a peak of around 1,201. In Canada, there are 13 Confucius Institutes operating. Beijing also operates secret police stations to spy on Chinese citizens in the US.

Toxic Algae Off Southern California Kills Hundreds of Sea Lions, Dolphins, Birds

An early toxic algae bloom off the coast of Southern California is killing or sickening hundreds of sea lions, dolphins and seabirds, while forcing rescuers to make tough choices about “which animals to save.”

Studies reveal global algae blooms are growing, and warming waters may be to blame. Swirling blooms of turquoise phytoplankton along coasts may be happening more often and getting bigger, according to new research published in Nature, raising concerns about the impacts of climate change on the world’s oceans. 

Phytoplankton are microscopic algae, and a “bloom” is a sudden explosion of them, sometimes covering hundreds of square kilometers of ocean. The study found that over that period, the global median frequency of algal blooms increased by 59%, and the total area affected by the blooms expanded by nearly four million square kms — close to half the size of Canada.

According to the Lancet, these toxic algae blooms can sicken people on shore. And as you read here on Coriolanus, USN Seal candidates have been getting sick because of the pollution in the waters off San Diego (20 Feb 2025). A cocktail of petro-chemicals and industrial waste created a lethal jacuzzi in the Gulf of Mexico (21 Jan 2025).

Some oceanographers claim that we may be the last generation to enjoy genuine seafood because of the algae, pollution, chemicals, and plastics that have poisoned the world’s oceans.

We are heading face-first into the dystopic 1973 film “Soylent Green” (originally a 1966 Harry Harrison novel “Make Room! Make Room!”) where the oceans are dead and the earth’s ability to produce food is nearly all gone. To feed the overpopulated masses, the governments of the world provide people with nutritious Soylent Green, but unbeknownst to the hoi polloi, the wafers are the processed remains of dead people. 23andMe DNA Data Up for Grabs After Going Bankrupt

Customers of 23andMe are rightly concerned about what could happen to their DNA profiles now that the ancestry-research company has filed for bankruptcy. “It looks like it’s up for grabs,” he said of the genetic information. “And there doesn’t really seem to be any parameters regarding its use.”

After a customer provides a saliva sample, DNA-testing companies like 23andMe provide a profile of a person’s genetic heritage. Police used forensic genetic genealogy to solve crimes. 23andMe had a data breach in 2023 and paid out $30 million to settle a class-action lawsuit. Under bankruptcy, the company’s DNA database of more than 15 million customers could potentially be sold as an asset.

As you are aware, oligarch Larry Ellison wants to put all America’s data, including DNA, in one large Oracle system for AI to study (17 Feb 2025).

Your author is surprised that with all their billions, oligarchs Felon Musk, Jeff Bezos, or Larry Ellison didn’t already buy 23andMe or their DNA data yet for their AI plans to subjugate humanity. Billionaire Felon Musk took the time to fly to Wisconsin to hand out paltry checks for one million dollars each to influence an election which he lost anyway, so why he or another megalomaniac hasn’t bought any of this DNA information goldmine is a mystery to the author.

Two Mass Murderers Believe They Were Fulfilling Trumpf’s Wishes

MAGA terrorist and white supremacist Patrick Crusius believed he was acting at the direction of President Donald Trumpf when he murdered 23 people and wounded 22 others at an El Paso Walmart on 3 Aug 2019, his defense lawyer told El Paso Matters. Crusius was sentenced to 90 consecutive life sentences in July 2023. Crusius admitted that he killed and wounded people at the Walmart because of the actual and perceived national origin of the people he expected to be at the Walmart. He further admitted that he intended to kill everyone he shot.

Crusius wrote a manifesto titled “An Inconvenient Truth” and uploaded it to the internet minutes before he commenced his attack. In it, he characterized himself as a white nationalist, motivated to kill Hispanics because they were immigrating to the US. The maniac admitted to selecting El Paso, a border city, as his target to dissuade Mexican and other Hispanic immigrants from coming to the US.

“He thought he had to stop the invasion because that’s what his president was telling him, which is just not rational,” defense attorney Joe Spencer said in his first extended interview about the mass shooting that Crusius said was meant to stop “the Hispanic invasion of Texas.”

“He thought, if he doesn’t do it, then nobody’s going to do it. He’s got to start,” Spencer said.

The White House did not respond to multiple requests for comment from El Paso Matters. On 5 Aug 2019, two days after the El Paso shooting, Trumpf condemned the attack and the motives behind it: “The shooter in El Paso posted a manifesto online consumed by racist hate. In one voice, our nation must condemn racism, bigotry and white supremacy. These sinister ideologies must be defeated. Hate has no place in America.” [Hah!]

Trumpf visited El Paso on 7 Aug, ignoring pleas from much of El Paso’s elected leadership that he stay away because they felt his rhetoric may have played a role in the shooting. Trumpf’s vile hate-mongering may be responsible for another heinous mass murder, the slaughter at the Miami high school in 2018.

Parkland Miami mass murderer Nikolas Cruz has mastered the talking points of Donald Trumpf. Before Cruz used an AR-15 assault rifle to kill 17 people, including 13 students, at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, he idolized Trumpf. One of his most prized possessions was a MAGA hat; the rage-filled, paranoid teen posed with it on his head for Instagram and wore it while he practiced shooting a pellet gun in his backyard. Cruz even put the red hat on his mother’s urn during her funeral.

In a in a batch of released prison letters, Cruz expounds on politics and the letters show the unhinged killer remains deeply drawn to Trumpf’s divisive and negative political messaging, which takes aim at immigrants, liberals, and the media. Cruz seems to have taken especially seriously Trump’s unfounded allegations that illegal immigrants threaten American society and are more prone than others to crime. He is sentenced to life imprisonment without the chance of parole for one of the worst high school shootings in the US.

These two lunatics are examples of stochastic terrorism. Put another way: “Will no one rid me of this turbulent priest?” This is a quote attributed to Henry II of England preceding the death of Thomas Becket, the Archbishop of Canterbury in 1170.

Thanks to Trumpf’s hateful rhetoric and lies, two xenophobic lunatics slaughtered 40 innocent people and maimed another 35. The anguish of losing loved ones, PTSD, and scars never go away. You wonder how many more people will die in America’s “Killing Fields,” get deported or “disappeared,” thanks to Republican voters, hate radio, Fox News, the NRA, and most importantly, Dotard Trumpf’s despicable hate-mongering?

Protesting the Israeli genocide in Gaza or Russia’s brutal invasion of Ukraine sent these poor young women to the American gulag. Ms. Petrova also faces other dangers should she be deported to Russia and the tender mercies of Vladimir Putin’s police state.

American citizens have been brutalized by the police for years. The advent of social media exposed the long-standing and pervasive practice which led to the Black Lives Matter movement and the meme ACAB (“All cops are bastards”). White Americans are not immune to police brutality. Grandfather Michael Burch (69) slowly suffocated to death in a rural Colorado jail after a Huerfano County deputy broke his ribs in an altercation and then allowed him to languish in a cell for one week without medical care.

Michael Burch’s 2023 death was ruled a homicide. But prosecutors declined to bring criminal charges against the deputy who used a Taser on Burch and wrestled with him in a Huerfano County jail cell. An autopsy found six of Burch’s right ribs had broken and his right lung collapsed. He wasn’t taken to a hospital but instead was transferred to another cell where he was found dead seven days later. The lawsuit alleges Burch suffered excruciating pain and that he constructed a “death bed” for himself as his broken ribs caused him to slowly asphyxiate.

Here is another reason why American policing requires a complete overhaul.

North Bergen Police Chief Robert Farley.

A police chief in Hudson County, New Jersey, is being accused of assaulting and harassing his officers in a lengthy list of complaints that includes defecating on floors, exposing himself, attempting to drug coworkers, and sticking a hypodermic needle into an officer’s penis. Chief Robert Farley, who was appointed chief of the North Bergen Police Department in February 2024, is also accused of retaliating against an officer who attempted to report him to the New Jersey Attorney General. Five police officers in North Bergen said they plan to sue over Farley’s alleged behavior, which also includes claims of retaliation, discrimination, sexual misconduct, and harassment.

“The Township of North Bergen has full confidence in Chief Robert Farley’s leadership,” a spokesperson said.

And as if things weren’t horrible enough with American policing, a distressing incident occurred in Washington State, where 65,620 Ukrainians live.

Ilya Kukhar (26) was arrested for impersonating an immigration agent, after allegedly stalking a Ukrainian market with fake “ICE” decals on his car in Fife, Washington. Kukhar, who is “not employed by any federal law enforcement agency,” has been charged with one count of Criminal Impersonation in the Second Degree. He is currently not in police custody and his initial arraignment is scheduled for 11 Apr.

As if things weren’t bad enough with the horrible state of American policing and these appalling nationwide raids against dissidents, this lunatic Ilya Kukhar impersonated an ICE agent and stalked innocent Ukrainians.

Countries had previously issued travel advisories to their citizens because of US firearm violence and measles. Now nations are advising their citizens to take precautions when visiting America because of ICE. The Trumpf junta is crushing dissent and causing a brain drain from the US, as well as an economic boycott. Canadians didn’t require such an advisory as thousands and thousands of them have voluntarily cancelled their travel plans to the US. Many began selling their vacation homes in Florida and other areas. Trumpf has turned America’s already over-policed country into the Fourth Reich.

Israeli Settlers Attempt to Torture and Lynch Oscar-Winning Filmmaker

The Palestinian co-director of Oscar-winning film “No Other Land” Hamdan Ballal was beaten up by Israeli settlers in the occupied West Bank, taken away by IDF soldiers and detained overnight. Following his release from detention, Ballal had been “arbitrarily” held in police detention in Kiryat Arba’a and was beaten in custody by IDF soldiers. Following his release, he was moved to a hospital in Hebron, where he was treated for his injuries.

Despite suffering from dehydration and bruising, Ballal left the hospital returned home to his family in Susya in the occupied West Bank.  

These heinous attacks by the Settlers and the IDF should come as no surprise to the Followers of the Watch. Israel is an ethnic-cleansing police state, supported 100% by the US. Besides the ICC issuing an international arrest warrant for war criminal Benjamin Netanyahu, the International Court of Justice (ICJ) at the Hague condemned the State of Israel for committing genocide in Gaza and enforcing apartheid on Palestinians, all paid for by the hardworking American taxpayer. Accounting for inflation, US aid to Israel from 1951 to 2022 totaled $317.9 billion, making it the largest recipient of American foreign aid since World War II.

Israeli Settlers attacked IDF General Avi Bluth’s entourage in Nov 2024. The Rule of Law only exists for Israeli Jews in the apartheid state, as IDF and police officers are complicit in these crimes.

Taliban Frees Fourth American Citizen Since Jan 2025

US national Faye Hall was released by the Taliban after having been detained in Afghanistan in Feb 2025. Hall is the fourth American released from Afghanistan since Jan 2025. Hall, two Britons, and their Afghan translator were detained earlier this year. Hall may have been detained for using a drone without authorization. In Jan 2025 Ryan Corbett and William McKenty were freed in exchange for an Afghan fighter, Khan Mohammed, who was convicted of narco-terrorism in the US. George Glezmann was freed after more than two years of detention in a deal brokered by Qatar. The US had lifted bounties on three senior Taliban figures, including the interior minister, who also heads the powerful Haqqani Network (HQN) blamed for attacks against Afghanistan’s former Western-backed government.

The Pashtuns have a unique and defining tribal code called Pashtunwali or the ‘way of the Pashtun’ that distinguishes them from other ethnic groups. This unwritten set of values, customs, and cultural codes governs routine life. The code compels Pashtuns to defend their motherland, to grant asylum to fugitives irrespective of their creed or caste, and to offer protection even to his deadly enemy and to wipe out insult with insult. Al Qaida mastermind Osama Bin Laden cunningly took advantage of Pashtunwali when he plotted his attacks against the US, against the wishes of Taliban supremo Mullah Omar.

Five Children Returned From Russian Occupied Areas

Five children have been reunited with their families and returned from Russian occupied Ukrainian territories thanks to Qatari mediation, the head of the Ukrainian President’s office said. The children, aged between 11 and 16 years old, were returned from Russian-occupied Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk, and Zaporizhzhia, under the Bring Kids Back UA initiative in coordination with the Ukrainian Ombudsman’s office.

The initial charges levied against Russian President Vladimir Putin by the ICC was for abducting Ukrainian children, a war crime.

First-Ever Military Mosque Opens in Ukraine

“On the initiative of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine, in whose ranks many Muslim soldiers are fighting, the first military mosque As-Salam has appeared in our country,” said a spokesperson.

The solemn opening, as tradition dictates, began with the reading of the Quran, a holy book for Muslims, and a collective prayer. The event was attended by Muslim Defense Intelligence of Ukraine fighters, as well as the head of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine Kyrylo Budanov.

Budanov thanked the soldiers who profess Islam for their courage in battles with the Russian occupiers and presented the mosque with collections of prayers and commemorations of Allah for a Muslim warrior, arranged by the Military Chaplaincy Service of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine.

Intelligence Director Budanov is a sharp leader who knows that Muslims are fighting and dying for Ukraine. If these Muslims are in the intelligence services, many of them are undertaking risky espionage missions behind enemy lines or recruiting fellow Muslims to turn against Putin. Giving the Ukrainian Muslims a mosque is a gesture demonstrating that they aren’t second class citizens in a Christian-majority nation. Moreover, Ukraine Minister of Defense Rustem Enverovych Umyerov is a Crimean Tatar and therefore a Sunni Muslim who probably endorsed this idea.

Two Storks Finally Reunite After Winter Migration and War

One of the more unlikely celebrities in Ukraine is a stork named Hrytsko who returned to his home nest on 22 March in the village of Lelyaki, Poltava Oblast, to await the arrival of his girlfriend, Odarka. Ten minutes after his arrival, he started to clean up the place. Shortly after Hrystko arrived, he visited one of his neighbors, a beekeeper, to see how things were going.

Hrytsko has been nesting in Lelyaki since 2019. Villagers there are fond of him, coming to visit and feeding him from time to time. In Ukraine, a stork is considered to be a symbol of prosperity, family, happiness, well-being, and of the country itself. A livestream set up by a researcher in 2023 had made the couple a viral sensation in Ukraine.

Hrytsko spent 22 and 23 Mar alone in the nest but with hundreds of people watching him. One user even wrote that watching how Hrytsko is part of her “morning routine.”

For most of 24 Mar, Hrytsko was still solo, bracing himself against the wind and occasionally flying off to run errands. Finally, to the great relief of Ukrainians, Odarka finally showed up unharmed in the evening, re-uniting the happy couple.

Utah is First State in America to Ban Fluoride in Public Water

Utah has become the first US state to ban the use of fluoride in its public water, following concerns raised by HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr that the mineral poses potential health risks.

“On January 20, the Trumpf White House will advise all US water systems to remove fluoride from public water. Fluoride is an industrial waste associated with arthritis, bone fractures, bone cancer, IQ loss, neurodevelopmental disorders, and thyroid disease,” RFK Jr posted in social media.

And Health and Human Services Secretary (HHS) RFK Jr is doing more damage to America’s health. He announced the firing of 10,000 workers from HHS as a cost-savings measure. Scientists warn that the measles outbreak could spread into a national epidemic. Then, top US vaccine official Dr Peter Marks resigned over RFK Jr’s ‘misinformation and lies.’ Dr Marks served as the FDA’s top vaccine official and was seen as a guardrail against any future politicization of the FDA’s approval of life-saving vaccines. Dr Marks had been lauded by Donald Trumpf during the US president’s first term for his role in Operation Warp Speed, the initiative that developed, manufactured, and helped distribute the Covid-19 vaccines.”

Lead Poisoning Pervasive in Milwaukee, WI Schools

The Milwaukee Department of Health informs:

“At least one student has tested positive for lead poisoning after exposure at Golda Meir School Lower Campus. Lead hazards were widespread in the building, found on the ground in the boy’s bathroom, cafeteria, a hallway, the teacher’s lounge, kitchen areas and multiple rooms. Three other students at Trowbridge Street School of Great Lakes Studies, Maryland Avenue Montessori and Albert E. Kagel Dual Language School may have been lead-poisoned due to lead hazards from chipping lead-based paint and lead dust. Trowbridge Street School of Great Lakes Studies became the first MPS building to close due to its high lead levels, followed by Starms Early Childhood Center, Fernwood Montessori, and Lafollette School.”

The WHO reports that exposure to lead can affect multiple body systems. Lead exposure was attributed to more than 1.5 million deaths globally in 2021, primarily due to cardiovascular effects. The harmful impacts on health from lead exposure are entirely preventable. There is no level of exposure to lead that is known to be without harmful effects.

The people of Flint, Michigan underwent a public health crisis from 2014 to 2019 when their drinking water was found to contain lead and possibly Legionella bacteria. In April 2014, during a financial crisis, state-appointed emergency manager Darnell Earley changed Flint’s water source from the Detroit Water and Sewerage Department (sourced from Lake Huron and the Detroit River) to the Flint River. Residents complained about the taste, smell, and appearance of the water. Officials failed to apply corrosion inhibitors to the water, which resulted in lead from aging pipes leaching into the water supply, exposing around 100,000 residents to elevated lead levels. Brazil Supreme Court: Jair Bolsonaro to Stand Trial Over Alleged Coup Attempt

Brazil’s Supreme Court has accepted charges against former President Jair Bolsonaro over an alleged attempted coup to stay in office after his 2022 election defeat. The 8 Jan 2023 coup attempt in Brasilia was similar to the Trumpf-led 6 Jan 2021 insurrectionist attack on the US Capitol.

The five justices voted unanimously in favor of putting Bolsonaro and seven other accomplices on trial on five counts, including involvement in an armed criminal organization and attempted violent abolition of the democratic rule of law.

The populist Bolsonaro, who swept to power after a shock win at the 2018 election, has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing and says he’s being politically persecuted. Under Brazilian law, a coup conviction alone carries a sentence of up to 12 years. When combined with the other charges, it could potentially see enemy of the environment and the masses Jair Bolsonaro spend decades behind bars. Gut arbet.

Brazil, which is also standing up to Israel’s murderous campaign against the Palestinians, has demonstrated more respect for the Rule of Law than the US. Former President Joe Biden, VPOTUS Kamala Harris, and USAG Merrick Garland must be sitting around bewildered at this concept, when their administration had four years to deal with Trumpf one way or another.

An indictment is merely an accusation. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

China Unveils Powerful Diamond-Bladed Undersea Cable Cutter

China has developed a compact deep-sea device capable of cutting armored undersea cables at depths of 4,000 meters — twice the operational depth of existing subsea communication infrastructure. The tool, featuring a 150-mm diamond-coated grinding wheel spinning at 1,600 rpm, was designed for integration with China’s advanced submersibles. The development has raised concerns over the security of global undersea infrastructure, as such cables carry 95% of global data transmission and support critical military and civilian operations.

As you have read here on Coriolanus, Beijing has reportedly already cut cables to Taiwan and is constructing large ‘D-Day’ type amphibious landing craft for a potential invasion of the island republic.

But note the huge landing craft China is constructing serves a dual purpose. Analysts used the term “D-Day type”, but they are also “Inchon-type.” In Sep 1950, US Army General Douglas MacArthur launched a surprise amphibious attack behind enemy lines at Inchon, catching the North Koreans completely surprised and routing them.

There is no mystery that Beijing wishes to assimilate Taiwan one day. But China is keeping a wary eye on North Korea, who has been getting too cozy to Beijing’s dismay. The Kremlin as been increasing the number, power, and accuracy of North Korea’s WMDs. So, at one point, the Chinese CCP is going to tire of the lunatic Kim Jong-un dynasty at their border with an ever-increasing nuclear stockpile. China is much more interwoven into the capitalist global economy than unstable Russia and North Korea. Coriolanus would be surprised if Beijing did NOT have a contingency plan to one day overwhelm North Korea and defang the nefarious Kim Jong-un once and for all. The “Inchon-style” amphibious landing craft would come in handy for a three-pronged attack from north, east and west.

After US Republican Budget Passes, Israel Renews Ethnic Cleansing in Gaza, Killing 400 on First Day

Followers of the Watch, keeping up with the nefarious Donald Trumpf junta is challenging, but Coriolanus will do his utmost to capture the most salient issues, beginning with the renewed genocide against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip and how we got here.

Last week, the fragile Gaza ceasefire was in place and the Republican-led US Congress presented a multi-trillion dollar budget plan that would give unnecessary tax cuts for the wealthy by slashing social safety programs like Medicare, Medicaid, housing assistance, agricultural subsidies, and food assistance schemes like Meals-on-Wheels. Progressives and liberal Democrats (Bernie Sanders, Nancy Pelosi,  Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez AKA AOC) urged Senator Chuck Schumer (D-NY) to fight the GOP budget plan, but he capitulated, angering his caucus and Democrats nationwide. Schumer argued speciously that a government shutdown would be worse for Americans because the notorious DOGE would be unchecked rampaging through the Executive Branch. A massive, deafening chorus furiously demanded he step aside as Minority Leader for allowing passage of the bill and letting fascism win in the US. So enraged are Democrats, Schumer cancelled three public events where he wanted to hawk his new book about antisemitism, citing “security concerns.”

So, why did Senator Schumer cave in to the Republicans and the oligarchs without a fight?

Connecting the dots for a retired US Army intelligence officer can be tricky at times, but not on this occasion. So, what happens next? The US budget is passed, freeing billions of dollars of aid to Israel. Over the weekend, Donald Trumpf orders the bombing of the Houthis in south Yemen, a Shia tribe aligned with Iran and Lebanese Hezbollah (LH). The Houthis are undergoing a man-made famine thanks to Sunni Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman (MBS), whose ground forces were unable to defeat the Shias. The Houthis counter-attack against Israeli shipping in the Gulf of Aden or the Red Sea on behalf of Iran and LH, since they and the UN are the only entities helping them.

By conducting this military strike, Trumpf is killing two birds with one stone, doing a favor to both Benjamin Netanyahu and Muhammad Bin Salman. Below is the Dotard fascinated by the video feed of brown-skinned people being nebulized by powerful precision rocket strikes from USCENTCOM forces:

Given the financial green light from the US budget thanks to Chuck Schumer, and the political green light from Trumpf, Netanyahu announces that Hamas has reneged on the ceasefire and begins a brutal attack on the people in Gaza. On the first day of the renewed Nakba, the IDF killed 400 Palestinians. As a wartime Prime Minister, Netanyahu again delays his corruption trial and drowns out talks of inquiries. This was all done in one week.

Regardless if a Labor or Likud Prime Minister was leading Israel, Senator Chuck Schumer’s voting patterns in the US Congress reflect that he wants to ensure the uninterrupted flow of American taxpayer funds to Israel. This is why his critics refer to him as the “Senior Senator from Israel.” Unlike US Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT) and Congresswoman Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) who called for stopping US military aid to Israel during the Nakba, Senator Schumer timidly called for Israel to hold elections against Netanyahu. The most powerful lobbying group in the US is AIPAC. Bernie Sanders and AOC do not receive a dime from AIPAC.

Simply put, US Senator Chuck Schumer put the interests of the State of Israel ahead of the interests of the American people, and everybody knows it. Hence, the chorus of calls for him to step down as Senate Minority Leader. Serious discussions have arisen about challenging him in a primary. And who cares if hundreds of Arabs are needlessly killed or American servicemembers in the Middle East are put in harm’s way?

The most important fact to remember is Vladimir Putin and Donald Trumpf are not good faith actors, like Benjamin Netanyahu and Elon Musk.

175 Ukrainian soldiers were released after a one-for-one prisoner trade with Russia. Another 22 Ukrainian service members returned through negotiations outside of the one-for-one swap. “This is one of the largest exchanges. Our soldiers, sergeants and officers are returning. The soldiers who fought for our freedom in the Armed Forces, Navy, National Guard, Territorial Defense Forces and Border Guard,” President Volodomir Zelensky stated. These 175 Ukrainian POWs are lucky to be alive because elements of the Russian forces have been torturing and executing prisoners since Putin launched his invasion in Feb 2022, as you have read here on Coriolanus.

This prisoner exchange simply means Putin wanted some of the captured Russians returned. Tiny (but wealthy) UAE has been involved in Ukrainian-Russian negotiations for prisoner swaps. So, why did Trumpf and Putin choose Saudi Arabia (led by murderous Muhammad Bin Salman) to hold “peace talks” a few weeks ago?

Russia has lost 897,010 troops in Ukraine since the beginning of its full-scale invasion on 24 Feb 2022. The number includes 1,560 casualties suffered just over the past day according to the General Staff of Ukraine Armed Forces.

Russia has also lost 10,352 tanks, 21,509 armored fighting vehicles, 40,892 vehicles and fuel tanks, 24,640 artillery systems, 1,319 multiple launch rocket systems, 1,107 air defense systems, 370 airplanes, 331 helicopters, 29,616 drones, 28 ships and boats, and one submarine.

This has been quite an expensive war for the Pariah State in terms of population, materiel, morale, and international reputation. No doubt Vladimir Putin enjoyed reading about US military casualties and costs in Iraq and Afghanistan, only to find he vastly surpassed US losses in only three years.

Putin Increased Sabotage Attacks to Pressure Europe and US

Over the past two years, Russia has significantly increased sabotage against European countries that support Ukraine. The number of attacks on critical infrastructure quadrupled in 2023 and tripled in 2024. Moscow is waging a covert campaign against submarine cables, warehouses, and rail networks in Europe in an attempt to put pressure on the West. Poland blamed Russia for the fire at this Warsaw shopping center pictured above.

Lithuanian authorities assess that Russian military intelligence organized and funded the Ikea store arson attack in Vilnius in 2024. The main suspect in the incident engaged with “Russian military and security services” and accepted payment as part of a terrorist organization plotting attacks in both Lithuania and Latvia. The suspect is said to have planted a timed fuse in the store on 9 May 2024, which was activated overnight.

After filming the fire and sending the footage, the suspect in the case attempted to cover up their tracks and fled to Warsaw — where they picked up a BMW as a reward for completing the task.

Saboteur activity has decreased in recent weeks against the backdrop of US diplomatic efforts to end the war. Experts predict that attacks may resume after the adoption of new European decisions on assistance to Ukraine.

Putin Puts Trumpf Call on Hold While Talking to Oligarchs

Russian President Vladimir Putin waved off concerns that he was making US President Donald Trumpf wait for a planned phone call on the Ukraine war as he was speaking to Russian oligarchs instead. Financial Times Moscow Bureau Chief Max Seddon noted Tuesday morning that Putin was speaking to the group even though the call with Trump was due on his schedule.

“Putin is meant to be speaking to Trumpf around now, but he is talking to a room full of oligarchs instead,” Seddon wrote on X. “Asked if he’s going to be late, Putin waves off the question and says not to listen to his spokesman.”

Trumpf’s phone calls with two previous British leaders reportedly left staff crying from laughter. What he is said was apparently so madcap that they left staff at Number 10 Downing Street in tears.

According to a report in Politico, any conversation between the then-president and the two occupants of Number 10 from 2017 to 2021 — Theresa May and Boris Johnson — were mandatory listening for civil servants and other aides in the PM’s orbit, with staff making a point to gather in a secure room or the PM’s private study to hear them speak with the leader of America.

French Legislators Condemn Trumpf

Paris should take back the Statue of Liberty because the US no longer represents the values that led France to offer the statue, French Euro-Deputy Raphael Glucksmann demanded. “Give us back the Statue of Liberty. We’re going to say to the Americans who have chosen to side with the tyrants, to the Americans who fired researchers for demanding scientific freedom: ‘Give us back the Statue of Liberty,'” he told cheering supporters. “‘We gave it to you as a gift, but apparently you despise it. So it will be just fine here at home,'” he added.

French Senator Claude Malhuret castigated Trumpf and compared the White House to the court of insane Roman Emperor Nero: “Never in history has a President of the United States capitulated to the enemy. Never has anyone supported an aggressor against an ally.”

Malhuret continued: “We were at war with a dictator, now we are fighting a dictator backed by a traitor.”

Meanwhile, the outgoing German government agreed to release an additional three billion euros ($3.3 billion) in military assistance for Ukraine. They also warned their citizens about traveling to the US because of the recent detention of their citizens by ICE.

As you read here on Coriolanus, the European powers and Canada are organizing a defense of Ukraine without the US. France announced that it will provide intelligence, most likely satellite imagery and SIGINT, to Kiev as well as extend its independent nuclear arsenal to “allies.” This is what happens when the President of the United States is a Russian asset.

North Korea Publicly Executes Three Men for Trying to Escape by Boat

North Korea publicly executed three men — shooting each with 90 machine gun rounds — for attempting to flee to democratic South Korea by boat. Authorities then burned their corpses in front of horrified residents of the town, who were forced to watch. The three victims, all in their 30s, had been caught in January. In Dec 2023, hundreds of residents were forced to gather at an airfield in frigid weather to watch authorities execute a 23-year-old man by firing squad. His alleged crime was murdering a woman while trying to steal about $6 worth of beans from her. Public executions are a common occurrence in North Korea, for crimes like murder or human trafficking, or even distribution South Korean videos.

Sadistic North Korean supremo Kim Jong-un fattens himself and his treasury by sending cannon fodder to Russia and keeping their salaries. Pyongyang is also making money through criminal enterprises, like the recent massive crypto-heist which you read about here on Coriolanus. While his people are starving, North Korean soldiers are selling their equipment for money and scrounging for cigarette butts on sidewalks.

The North Korean army is ordering soldiers to stop scrounging the streets for cigarette butts to smoke even as commanders keep some of the soldiers’ monthly cigarette rations for themselves. In the past, it was just the lower-ranked soldiers who looked for butts, but now even the higher-ranked soldiers are doing it too. Each soldier is supposed to get 15 packs per month in rations, but the higher ranks skim off the top. In the case of the border guards, each soldier used to be supplied with 15 packs of Baekseung-brand cigarettes per month, but since last fall, they have only been supplied with 10 packs. Female soldiers are forbidden from smoking, so they trade their ration of cigarettes for other things.

Hungry North Korean soldiers are selling some of their military equipment to buy food, prompting officials to conduct inspections that have caught some soldiers without all their issued gear. Though the country’s military is often said to be under-supplied, military-grade items tend to be of better quality than products civilians can obtain, so are viewed as desirable. Weapons are used often during training, but personal gear like tents, lunch boxes, canteens and waterproof rice containers are not used as often, so some soldiers figure they won’t be missed.

In North Korea, able-bodied men are required to serve ten years in the 1.2 million-strong military after high school, from around age 18, while able-bodied women must serve seven years. But rations can be small and new recruits plead with their parents for food after enlisting.

US: Louisiana Prisoner Executed With Nitrogen Gas

The late Jessie Hoffman Jr was convicted of murder.

Louisiana executed a man convicted of murder with nitrogen gas on Tuesday evening, the state’s first execution in 15 years and its first using the largely-untested method. A raging legal battle ended with a gas mask strapped over his face in the Louisiana State Penitentiary at Angola death chamber. State officials pronounced Jessie Hoffman Jr. dead at 6:50 p.m. Tuesday at Angola. He inhaled pure nitrogen gas through a mask strapped to his face for 19 minutes while pinned to a gurney, until oxygen deprivation caused him to die. Officials acknowledged that Hoffman showed “convulsive activity” as he died and that he moved and shook.

An appeal stated that since Hoffman is a Buddhist, his breathing and meditation practices would be disrupted by the execution process. “Kill me with a firing squad, at least then, I’ll be able to breathe air at the time of my death,’ Hoffman requested. The state said no.

When Trumpf bombed the starving Houthis, he called them “barbarians.” Republican-controlled red states are using firing squads and now nitrogen gas to execute prisoners, as if the death penalty will deter violent crime or bring back the victims. Perhaps these faux Christians in the Republican Party will bring back lapidation as a punishment.

Ireland’s Little-Known Intelligence Agency: J2

EU member Ireland has a population of approximately 5,233,461 people who enjoy a $114,900 GDP per capita. 7,500 active-duty personnel make up the Irish armed forces, which is not part of NATO. In terms of military strength, Ireland is ranked 97 out of 145 countries by the Global Firepower Index (GFI), yet her military successfully participates in UN peacekeeping missions worldwide. In fact, Ireland “punches above her weight” on the geo-political stage.

Besides the armed forces and the Garda (the national constabulary), protecting Ireland is a small, but effective secretive agency called “J2”. Excerpted from Spyscape with gratitude, let’s see one of the reasons why welterweight Ireland effectively punches as a heavyweight in international affairs.

“Ireland’s Directorate of Military Intelligence, AKA J2, is one of the most secretive units in Europe and the main intelligence branch of the Defense Forces.

J2 has been monitoring suspected Russian spies at Moscow’s embassy in Dublin since the compound opened in 1973 and deploys alongside Irish forces on international duties.

J2 is the national intelligence service of the Irish Armed Forces operating domestically and internationally. Traditionally, J2’s work in Ireland has focused on suspected terrorists and terrorist sympathizers but J2 also gathers intelligence from UN mission reports and other sources that would be helpful to Irish peacekeeping forces abroad. Ireland’s secret service retained its €2m ($2.18m) annual funding as part of the 2024 Budget, reportedly up from €750,000 in 2019.

Staff are drawn from the Army, Naval Service, and Air Corps. The service is under the command of a Colonel, known as the Director of Military Intelligence, who provides a monthly intelligence briefing to Ireland’s Minister for Defense. J2’s current director is not named. 

J2’s HQ is believed to be at McKee Barracks in Dublin.

Internally, J2 works with Ireland’s national police counterterrorism and counter-espionage unit known as the Garda Síochána (Guardian of the Peace) Special Detective Unit. Externally, J2 liaises with foreign intelligence agencies like CIA, as well as government and non-governmental agencies.

G2/J2

G2 – The Office of the Directorate of Intelligence began in the 1920s as the intelligence arm of the Irish Army following the Anglo-Irish Treaty, a designation used to refer to an Army intelligence, security, and information branch.

J2 – The Directorate later became the intelligence service for the entire Irish Armed Forces, and J2 now refers to joint services for the Army, Naval Service, and Air Corps, as well as its national security roles.

Known Operations

While Ireland was militarily ‘neutral’ in WWII, G2 had secret agreements with Britain’s MI5 and the US Office of Strategic Services (the predecessor to the CIA). G2 intercepted German naval and aerial communications through Irish listening stations and apprehended more than a dozen Nazi spies including notorious spy Hermann Görtz. Ireland also broke German codes during the war, under the supervision of cryptologist Richard J. Hayes.

Army officers reportedly headed to Portugal in 1943 posing as Red Cross officials delivering supplies (including 52 tons of potatoes) to neutral Portugal for refugees in Spain. Their real mission – dubbed Spuds for Secrets by the Irish media – was to gather intel on Irish minister Leopold H. Kerney in Madrid. Kerney had met with Edmund Veesenmayer, one of the Nazis involved in plotting secret German operations in Ireland. G2 contacted British spies in Lisbon and Madrid and had a good look around but eventually concluded Kerney was neutral.

From the late 1960s to 1998, G2 was said to be involved in intelligence-gathering operation during ‘The Troubles’, the decades-long conflict drawn largely along religious lines between Catholics and Protestants. G2 officers crossed the border into Northern Ireland on intelligence-gathering missions from 1969.

‍J2 military intelligence had their hands full monitoring the comings and goings at the Russian Embassy in Dublin, established in 1973. Within a decade, Ireland expelled three suspected KGB spies. Five decades later, J2 is still at it, The Irish Times reports. J2 conducts limited work in the embassy area, sometimes using the Army Ranger Wing to carry out surveillance.

In 2005, Arabic-speaking J2 officers were reportedly deployed in Iraq following the kidnapping of Irish journalist Rory Carroll in Baghdad by militants. With J2 working alongside the British and American governments, Carroll was released unharmed and returned safely to Dublin.

In 2019, J2 reportedly drew up a plan with US military intelligence to extract Lisa Smith, a former Irish Army soldier who converted to Islam and allegedly joined ISIS militants. According to some reports, J2’s extraction plan was rejected by the Irish government but Ms. Smith was brought back to Ireland in 2019 and charged with terror offenses. Ms. Smith denies the charges.

In 2023, the Irish military launched a recruiting campaign to hire Russian language and cultural analysts to work with intelligence officers – Arabic and Chinese specialists have already been hired. The Journal reported that the job would feed into data gathered by J2.”

New Strain of Bird Flu Wipes Out Mississippi Poultry Farm

A new strain of a highly pathogenic bird flu known as H7N9 has surfaced at a poultry farm in Mississippi where chickens are raised for breeding.

The finding of the new strain came as researchers separately reported a potentially positive development: Exposure to human seasonal flu may confer some immunity to H5N1 bird flu.

The new strain found in Noxubee County, Miss., was confirmed 12 Mar and all of the roughly 46,000 birds either died or were euthanized after the infection spread, according to the US Department of Agriculture’s Animal Plant Health Inspection Service and Mississippi’s Board of Animal Health. None of the birds entered the food supply.

Authorities didn’t say how the birds were infected, although federal wildlife agents had been identifying low-pathogenic versions of the H7N9 virus for several years in wild birds. It is possible that the version found in the chickens is circulating in wild birds, but most researchers think it probably acquired its deadly attributes once it got into the Noxubee chicken operation.

These chickens were grown and maintained for breeding purposes, not for their meat. This is significant because breeders live for months, if not years. If a low-pathogenic virus “happens to get into a broiler meat flock, the birds don’t get sick and they go on to slaughter,” an analyst said. But when a breeder flock picks up that virus, “the virus can replicate for weeks … this may well be what happened in Mississippi.”

Is the Trumpf junta, headed by quacks, fraudsters, and mountebanks capable of dealing with the economy-crushing avian flu, whooping cough, or spreading measles which has reached a five-year high with 15 states reporting cases?

UN: 151 Unprecedented Climate Disasters Struck World in 2024

Floods, heatwaves, and supercharged hurricanes occurred in the hottest climate human society has ever experienced.  The devastating impacts of the climate crisis reached new heights in 2024, with scores of unprecedented heatwaves, floods and storms across the globe, according to the UN’s World Meteorological Organization (WMO).

The WMO’s report on 2024, the hottest year on record, sets out a trail of destruction from extreme weather that took lives, demolished buildings and ravaged vital crops. More than 800,000 people were displaced and made homeless, the highest yearly number since records began in 2008.

The report lists 151 unprecedented extreme weather events in 2024, meaning they were worse than any ever recorded in the region. Heatwaves in Japan left hundreds of thousands of people struck down by heatstroke. Soaring temperatures during heatwaves peaked at 49.9C at Carnarvon in Western Australia, 49.7C in the city of Tabas in Iran, and 48.5C in a nationwide heatwave in Mali.

Sadly, the earth is most likely passed the tipping scale for recovery. Greenhouse gas emissions (methane (CH4) and nitrous oxide (N2O) have been steadily growing in the atmosphere and ocean water temperatures are rising. Deforestation and desertification are taking away nature’s ability to convert CO2 to oxygen. With the polar caps melting, sea levels of warmer water will rise. The earth will have less ability to cool itself off. In the future we will see more flooding and wildfires, more toxic algae blooms in the oceans, more powerful hurricanes, and tornadoes raging in the strangest places. Idiotically, Trumpf has reduced the budgets for NOAA and other agencies that could monitor weather threats and analyze trends to find solutions.

Kursk Falls to Russian Forces After Trumpf Withdraws US Intelligence Support

The cutting of US intelligence to Ukrainian soldiers forced a partial retreat and regrouping in Kursk. This was the only Russian territory occupied by Volodymyr Zelensky’s forces during the three-year war which Moscow began. Scenes of Kiev’s troops mangled, burned, and on the run filtering back to the capital have reinforced distrust of America and Russia. As you read previously here on Coriolanus, American volunteers fighting in Ukraine feel “betrayed by their country.” This villainy was followed up with more atrocities.

Russian Forces Execute Five Ukrainian POWs

After re-taking a significant portion of Kursk thanks to Trumpf, Russian forces allegedly executed five Ukrainian prisoners of war (POWs). A video circulating on social media purportedly shows unarmed Ukrainian soldiers killed after being captured by Russian troops. “We once again see a cynical disregard for international humanitarian law on the part of the Russian army,” a Ukrainian spokesman said, adding that he had sent letters to the UN and the ICRC to document the suspected war crime. The news comes as Russian President Vladimir Putin made his first visit to Kursk Oblast on 12 Mar since Ukraine launched its cross-border incursion into the region in August 2024. Russian forces and Wagnerites have been committing war crimes against Ukrainians since Feb 2022.

Trumpf Blocks War Crimes Investigations

Trumpf’s State Department quietly terminated a contract that was in the process of transferring evidence of Russian abductions of Ukrainian children to European law enforcement agencies.

And child abduction from Ukraine is exactly what led to Vladimir Putin’s indictment by the ICC:

“Today, 17 March 2023, Pre-Trial Chamber II of the International Criminal Court (“ICC” or “the Court”) issued warrants of arrest for two individuals in the context of the situation in Ukraine: Mr Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin and Ms Maria Alekseyevna Lvova-Belova.

Mr Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, born on 7 October 1952, President of the Russian Federation, is allegedly responsible for the war crime of unlawful deportation of population (children) and that of unlawful transfer of population (children) from occupied areas of Ukraine to the Russian Federation (under articles 8(2)(a)(vii) and 8(2)(b)(viii) of the Rome Statute). The crimes were allegedly committed in Ukrainian occupied territory at least from 24 February 2022.”

An ICC international arrest warrant remains active for Vladimir Putin. Trumpf sanctioned the ICC to remove arrest warrants from war criminals Vladimir Putin and Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu.

The notion that Canadians fought and died in Afghanistan to help defend the US — because of the terrorist attacks on 11 Sep 2001 — runs deep among Canadian veterans of that war and their families. Canadian and American troops fought together and bled together in the scorched hinterlands of Afghanistan. Now many Canadians who fought in Afghanistan say Trumpf’s behavior leaves them feeling angry and betrayed, irked by his threats to annex Canada through economic force, the trade war, and a plan to make life harder for Canadians visiting the US.

The Trumpf junta plans on requiring Canadian citizens planning to stay in the country for more than 30 days to register their information with the US government and submit to fingerprinting. Effective 11 Apr, affected people would have to create an account with USCIS and schedule an appointment for fingerprinting as part of a background check. 

A meme circulating online — a photo of troops in front of the maple leaf rock monument at Ma’sum Ghar, the Canadian forward operating base in western Kandahar — was recently captioned: “We went because you were attacked. We didn’t ask for your thanks. Neither did 158 of us who died for you.”

But it was the bullying of the Ukrainian president in the Oval Office and Vice-President JD Vance’s insistence that Volodymyr Zelensky show gratitude that set off many veterans.

While real estate scion Donald Trumpf avoided military conscription during the Vietnam War with a podiatrist’s letter claiming that his “bone spurs” made him illegible for the draft, 40,000 Canadians enlisted in the US military to fight against North Vietnam and the Viet Cong. Trumpf Budget Betrays Farmers, Veterans, Poorer Republican Voters

The Republican budget was designed to give unnecessary tax breaks to obscenely wealthy oligarchs by cutting America’s social safety nets like Medicaid and Medicare, as well programs to assist under-privileged people regardless of their political affiliation. From funding cuts to tariffs, American farmers have found themselves struggling to find markets for their products and facing the risk of steep losses for the year ahead. Farmers will lose millions in local food purchases after sweeping federal cuts at the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) led to the closure of two programs funding fresh food for schools and food banks.

The USDA announced nearly $1 billion in cuts last week, shuttering the Local Food for Schools program and the Local Food Purchase Assistance Cooperative Agreement.

“We’re just in such a state of shock,” a farmer said. “We just don’t really even know how to respond to all this. We thought that this was sacred and really untouchable. So it’s just quite a shock and very devastating. Everyone thinks all farmers voted for this, but we did not vote for this.”

Thanks to the Trumpf junta, farm bankruptcies and farmer suicides are on the rise. “We have seen a definite increase in the suicide rate and depression in farmers in the US, especially in the Upper Midwest,” reported a soybean farmer from Minnesota.

The Trumpf budget will terminate a one billion dollar program aimed at preserving affordable housing, a decision that could disrupt efforts to maintain tens of thousands of units for low-income Americans. The Housing and Urban Development (HUD) program would have upgraded at least 25,000 housing units nationwide. 24.5 million (or 7.4%) of Americans have experienced homelessness in their lifetime, regardless of their political affiliation.

Astonishingly, sycophantic and under-qualified FBI Director Kash Patel is moving to criminalize groups like Habitat for Humanity for receiving grants from the Environmental Protection Agency under the Biden administration, as if America’s premier internal security had nothing better to do with its time and resources.

Thousands of Veterans Protest Trumpf Nationwide

On Friday 14 March, thousands of veterans across the US protested the Trumpf cabal and his proposed cuts to Social Security, federal job losses for veterans, the pardon of 6 Jan terrorists, and reductions in veterans’ health care services. 14 March (3/14) was chosen as the protest date because of Section 3 of the 14th Amendment, which states that anyone who engaged in insurrection is barred from holding office. Trumpf violated that oath when he incited the attack against Capitol Hill on 6 Jan 2021.

All of these draconian measures taken by the Trumpf junta are designed to inflict cruelty on the masses, regardless of their political affiliation or previous military service to the country. If Trumpf supporters feel betrayed by their avatar, so be it. On 5 Nov 2024, these Americans voted Trumpf and the oligarchs into the White House simply because they wanted a white man to be President, against their own economic interests. Simply put, the ruling Republicans are vampires, nothing more, nothing less, taking advantage of their cultist followers.

Donald Trumpf is simply following the instructions of Russian President Vladimir Putin to reap discord between the US and Canada, NATO, and the EU. And they are succeeding. But why? Will the US military really invade Greenland, Canada, or Panama? Probably not. But what would stop the Kremlin from seizing the Arctic? In 2001, Russia claimed the Arctic shelf (and therefore the vast oil and minerals deposits underneath). Global warming is making access to minerals in the Arctic and Greenland easier. Canada and the US agreed to jointly defend North America (NORAD) and expects US support if the Russian military makes incursions into the Arctic Circle (NATO). The Kremlin has 13 military bases pointed at the North Pole.

By antagonizing and alienating Canada and vice versa, Americans will be less inclined to help their northern neighbor, the way the average Republican today doesn’t care if Ukraine is under attack by Russia.

American voters and allies were warned of the “Ides of March” before the election. Now Trumpf’s ignominious betrayals rival or surpass that of Brutus and Cassius against Julius Caesar or Judas Iscariot in Golgotha.

Mark Carney: Canada’s New Prime Minister

Rather than give you a biography of Mark Carney which Followers of the Watch can easily look up, here are some quick facts about the new Prime Minister. Mr. Carney (59) has not previously been elected to public office and doesn’t have a seat in Parliament. While that’s not unprecedented, this means that he can’t participate in debates or votes — and it suggests that he may call an election sooner rather than later.

Mr. Carney led the Bank of Canada and the Bank of England, and then served as United Nations special envoy on climate action and finance. A father of four, the Prime Minister is a graduate of Harvard and Oxford and holds three citizenships: Canadian, British, and Irish. While some Canadian politicians hold multiple passports, Mr. Carney believes the prime minister should not, so he began the process of surrendering his European citizenships. Mr. Carney, a centrist, has been sharply critical of Donald Trumpf and will stand up to him, but he will also listen to his concerns, imagined or real.

The new Prime Minister holds a PhD degree and will surround himself with a stellar new cabinet. He will need little advice. Nevertheless, Coriolanus has 27 years experience in military intelligence and has been to war, an experience Mr. Carney has not underwent. So your author humbly offers some suggestions for Mr. Carney once “he gets his sea legs.”

First, recognize the State of Palestine. The State of Palestine is recognized by 146 countries around the world with Norway, Spain and Ireland joining the list. In 2024, the US Democratic Party did not heed the words of the tremendous antiwar movement and the voices of Arab-Americans, costing them the election which led America to Trumpf 2.0.

Second, change the laws about tax-deductible charities. Through these schemes, Canadians send millions of dollars to Israel which has been ethnically cleansing itself of Palestinians for decades. In 1991 the Ottawa Citizen estimated that Canadians sent more than $100 million a year to Israel and possibly as much as $200 million. Assuming $100 million has been sent to Israel yearly since 1967 (when the tax deduction was codified) and with approximately 30% of the $5.4 billion total subsidized by the taxpayer, that’s around $1.7 billion in Canadian public support. Israel is a wealthy country with a GDP per capita of $52,642; Canada is $53,431.

Canada is ranked 28 out of 145 countries in terms of military power by the Global Firepower Index (GFI), but mighty Israel is ranked 15. So, why are Canadians allowed to subsidize a wealthy, powerful country with universal health care and nuclear weapons, as a tax deduction?

Third, re-establish diplomatic relations with Iran. In 2012, then conservative PM Stephen Harper recklessly severed relations with Tehran, costing Canada a valuable set of eyes and ears within the country and the Middle East. Note that Ottawa never severed ties with Havana or participated in the useless embargo of Cuba, going against US policy for decades. What would be the difference here?

Fourth, consider establishing a special immigration program for talented ex-federal employees ruthlessly fired from America’s FBI, CIA, CDC, DOS, NIH, NOAA, NTSB, FAA, USDA, or NSA through the notorious DOGE. Ottawa would immediately benefit from their education, experience, and training, particularly since America is now an unreliable ally and Pariah State.

Fifth, Canada’s intelligence agencies, CSIS and RCMP, must establish point-to-point relations with different foreign organizations outside NATO (if they haven’t already). Some excellent candidates for Canada would be Finland, Jordan, Denmark, Japan, South Korea, Poland, Japan, Brazil, Mexico, and Taiwan, to name but a few. Canada could gather its own intelligence without fear of compromise by the Russophiles in the USIC. A few techniques will help Ottawa maintain secure communications with its non-US partners. One, Canada can establish separate secure computer servers to prevent US penetration. Two, Canada can employ more diplomatic couriers to move information securely, albeit more slowly, through Air Canada flights. To save money, selected Air Canada pilots may be accredited as Diplomatic Couriers under the Vienna Convention, the most secure method of transmitting intelligence. Once the pilot lands his plane at say Amman or Helsinki, he would be met by a Canadian diplomat at the airport gate to receive the diplomatic pouch. When the plane departs for Toronto or Montreal, they do the same in reverse.

Sixth, the Prime Minister must stand up to Donald Trumpf, Felon Musk, as well as war criminals Vladimir Putin and Benjamin Netanyahu, two experts at ethnic cleansing in the name of “patriotism.”

Deadly Super Fungus Spreading in US Hospitals

A drug-resistant fungus, Candida Auris, is spreading rapidly in US hospitals, posing a severe threat to patients who need invasive medical equipment. Georgia has seen over 1,300 cases as of the end of Feb 2025. Candida Auris, or C. Auris, is particularly dangerous in health care settings, where it spreads easily through invasive medical equipment such as breathing tubes, feeding tubes, syringes, or catheters. The fungus is resistant to many household cleaners and traditional hospital disinfectants, like ammonia-based cleaning solutions. C. Auris is not a threat to the general public.

Craig Spencer, an Ebola virus survivor and Emmy-award winner, is a public health professor and emergency medicine physician at Brown University. He warns that the Trumpf junta is poised to leave the US a haven for disease. Spencer argues that Trump and his ally Elon Musk have “actively dismantled the infrastructure the country relies on to detect and confront deadly pathogens,” and adds that “we are sure to regret it.”

Spencer points to several key decisions made by Trumpf that are particularly alarming: The dismantlement of the US Agency for International Development, the withdrawal of the US from the World Health Organization, and the decision to clamp down on public communications from the CDC.

Trumpf is America’s Godzilla and doesn’t care about the masses until he needs their votes.

“Both vessels remain presently stable with salvors boarding both the STENA IMMACULATE and the SOLONG today to continue carrying out comprehensive damage assessments.

“The locations of the vessels are unchanged – the STENA IMMACULATE remains at anchor. The SOLONG continues to be held in a safe location connected to a tug.

“There are now only small periodic pockets of fire on the SOLONG which are not causing undue concern. Specialist tugs with firefighting capability remain at both vessels’ locations.

“Regular aerial surveillance flights continue to monitor the vessels and confirm that there continues to be no cause for concern from pollution from either the STENA IMMACULATE or from the SOLONG.

“The UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) is also assisting in the response, and continues to advise that any public health risk on shore is deemed to be very low. The UKHSA will keep risk assessments under continual review as further information becomes available.”

“The collision in the North Sea “has a high risk of being an environmental disaster in really important protected areas,” Naomi Tilley, Oil and Gas Campaign Lead at Oceana UK, an environmental group focused on oceans.

The UK Coastguard said an exclusion zone of about half of a mile had been established around both vessels.

“At this stage, it’s too early to assess the extent of any environmental damage,” Greenpeace UK said. explaining that the severity of any impact would depend on a number of factors, including “the amount and type of oil carried by the tanker, the fuel carried by both ships, and how much of that, if any, has entered the water.”

Incredible that in the 21st century, with technology, radar, radios, and GPS, that such a calamity could occur. This is just what the world could use, more environmental damage.

Trumpf Pardon Doesn’t Cover 6 Jan Terrorist for FBI Murder Plot

Donald Trumpf’s sweeping pardons of insurrectionists who attacked the US Capitol on 6 Jan 2021 do not extend to the separate crime of Edward Kelley (35) of Maryville, TN, who plotted to murder FBI agents that investigated him. UDSJ Thomas Varlan ruled that the miscreant’s actions after his initial arrest were “separated from the defendant’s conduct in the DC Case by years and miles.”

A cooperating defendant, who previously pleaded guilty to his role in the conspiracy, testified that he and Kelley planned attacks on the Knoxville FBI Field Office using car bombs and incendiary devices appended to drones. He also testified that the conspirators strategized about assassinating FBI employees in their homes and in public places such as movie theaters.

Edward Kelley, who was convicted on 6 Jan charges after the government presented extensive evidence showing he was the fourth rioter to breach the Capitol after he assaulted law enforcement, was pardoned by Trumpf along with more than 1,500 other convicted insurrectionists. But Kelley had separately been charged with plotting to murder law enforcement officers involved in the investigation in a separate case. A federal jury in Tennessee convicted Kelley on those charges in November, and he is set to be sentenced 7 May.

This is at least one piece of good news out of the sordid mess that Trumpf created in the US. The FBI agents could rest a bit easier knowing that this lunatic will be imprisoned for a life, unless Trumpf decides to pardon him a second time.

Trumpf’s Underhandedness

Two of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s political rivals have confirmed that they have been in contact with members of US President Donald Trumpf’s entourage. Secret discussions have been held about holding snap presidential elections in Ukraine that could potentially unseat President Volodomir Zelensky before a final peace deal is signed.

Yulya Tymoshenko and Petro Poroshenko are currently much less popular in Ukraine than Zelensky. Just 10% of Ukrainian voters said they would support Poroshenko in a presidential election, while only 6% said they would vote for Tymoshenko. The former commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Valeriy Zaluzhnyi, who is currently serving as the Ukrainian ambassador to London, has been Zelensky’s main political rival for some time now, with 21% of Ukrainians surveyed saying they supported him.

Trumpf has also indicated a desire to revoke the temporary legal status for around 240,000 Ukrainians in the US who fled Putin’s brutal Feb 2022 invasion. His cruelty knows no bounds.

This underhanded back-channel operation to undermine President Zelensky is right out of the Republican playbook. In 1968 Richard Nixon’s aides convinced Saigon to stop the Paris Peace talks and in 1980 Ronald Reagan’s aides convinced Tehran to release the American embassy hostages after Jimmy Carter lost the 1980 Presidential elections. Both nefarious plots promised a good deal for cooperation; both Saigon and Tehran complied. In this case, Vladimir Putin and US business interests would be the beneficiaries of a pro-Kremlin leader in Ukraine.

The US has halted intelligence sharing with Kiev, threatening Ukraine’s ability to strike Russian targets amid the full-scale war, CIA Director John Ratcliffe said during a TV interview. “Trumpf had a real question about whether President (Volodymyr) Zelensky was committed to the peace process, and he said let’s pause,” Ratcliffe said. The move follows Washington’s decision to freeze all military aid supplies to Ukraine following a public spat between Zelensky and Donald Trumpf. The decision was likely intended to put pressure on Zelensky in peace talks.

“(US President Donald Trumpf) betrayed every one of us,” a US Army veteran, who goes by the callsign ‘Goldfish’ said.

And on the frontlines, a Ukrainian sniper named “Lektor” achieved a remarkable feat.

A soldier of the Main Intelligence Directorate named “Lektor” in a duel with a Russian sniper killed him at a record 2,069 meters. That’s an incredible two kilometers.

According to Lektor, the chances of hitting the target from such a distance were low.

“This distance is the limit for the caliber of weapons with which I worked. Plus, it was a moving target. There is very little chance of hitting a moving target, given that the bullet flies at that distance of 4 seconds, the target moves, there is one wind near me, and a completely different one near the target, which affects the trajectory of the bullet. But that’s how it turned out. Everything is right, it turns out, he did it,” the sniper notes.

At the same time, Lektor added that after this shot, he could not leave his position for a long time, as the enemy was trying hard to detect it.

France Responds

Paris has signaled they will provide intelligence to Ukraine following this unsurprising stab in the back from Putin’s protege. Paris has approximately 100 military and commercial satellites in orbit.

More ominously, France will consider extending the protection of its nuclear arsenal to its allies said French President Emmanuel Macron, while warning that Europe needs to be ready for the US to not “remain by our side” in the Ukraine-Russia war.

“I’ve decided to open the strategic debate on the protection by our deterrence of our allies on the European continent,” he said in a live broadcast on his official social media channels. Macron stressed the need for Europe to continue assisting Ukraine and strengthen its own defense. “Our nuclear deterrence protects us, it is complete, sovereign, French from end to end,” Macron said of France’s nuclear arsenal. “This protects us much more than many of our neighbors.”

France is ranked 7 out of 145 countries in terms of military strength by the Global Firepower Index (GFI). They possess an arsenal of 290 nuclear warheads with the range to strike Moscow. Roughly 80% of the warheads are for delivery by three ballistic missiles submarines. Decades ago, France established its own nuclear arsenal so as not to depend on the US and it seems they were right. In a nuclear exchange with Russia, Paris would be atomized within minutes. This is the conundrum of “Mutually Assured Destruction” (MAD). Look where Trumpf and Putin have taken the world.

The EU Responds with ReArm Europe

Excerpt from EU President Ursula von der Leyen statement:

“We are living in the most momentous and dangerous of times. I do not need to describe the grave nature of the threats that we face. We are in an era of rearmament. And Europe is ready to massively boost its defense spending. Both, to respond to the short-term urgency to act and to support Ukraine but also to address the long-term need to take on much more responsibility for our own European security. ReArm Europe could mobilize close to EUR 800 billion Euros for a safe and resilient Europe. We will continue working closely with our partners in NATO.” Signed, EU President Ursula von der Leyen.

Europe and NATO are working around the US, as Washington under Trumpf is now viewed as a hostile power under occupation by the Kremlin. The UK, Turkiye, and Canada expressed willingness to deploy peacekeepers to Ukraine within a “coalition of the willing.” Europe will adjust to the new security and intelligence paradigm, although this will be difficult for some of the member states as they relied on the US “Rock of Gibraltar” for nearly 80 years.

Canada Punches Back Against Trumpf

Ontario Premier Doug Ford along with PM Justin Trudeau have been leading the national charge against Trumpf.

Canada, a G-7 nation that enjoys $53,431.20 per capita GDP, is not taking Trumpf lightly. Ontario Premier Doug Ford slapped a 25% surcharge on US-bound electricity, which will affect New York, Michigan, and Minnesota. Ontario cancelled its $100-million contract with Felon Musk’s Starlink as well. The contract, signed in 2024, was intended to provide Starlink satellite internet to 15,000 remote homes and businesses in northern Ontario.

Premier Doug Ford also removed all US alcohol and liquor from its official stores run by the LCBO. The LCBO is the largest single purchaser of alcoholic beverages on the planet, serving a population of nearly 16 million people.

CEO Brown Forman, the manufacturer of Jack Daniel’s Whiskey in Tennessee, said that Canadian provinces removing American liquor from its shelves is “worse than a tariff.” In 2024, the “Volunteer State” solidly voted for Donald Trumpf as you could see below.

In a trillion dollar economy these amounts may seem small, but they will have some economic impact. More importantly, the psychological impact will be much more effective. Plus, MLB and the owners will have to scramble and find 162 replacement games (out of a total 2,430 games), which will upset their schedules. Since most owners are wealthy oligarchs overcharging fans for beer, hot dogs, and hamburgers at the stadiums, why not give them the headache?

The top agent at the FBI’s New York field office has been forced out of his job, following clashes with Justice Department officials over Trump administration directives.

The veteran agent, James E. Dennehy, was told to retire from his role leading the FBI’s largest field office, delivering another blow to the senior ranks of the bureau. Mr. Dennehy, who had been running the office since Sep 2024, had angered Trumpf administration officials by supporting bureau leaders who resisted turning over the names of those who investigated the 6 Jan 2021 attack on the U.S. Capitol.

Mr. Dennehy had also angered Attorney General Pam Bondi by what she claimed was the New York office’s failure to turn over all the investigative files related to Jeffrey Epstein, the financier charged with sex trafficking who killed himself in prison. Ms. Bondi provided no evidence to back up her assertion.

Mr. Dennehy’s departure comes after weeks of turmoil at the FBI that saw nearly a dozen executives at headquarters removed unexpectedly, leaving a leadership vacuum and confusion on the seventh floor of the Hoover Building in Washington, DC.

Mr. Dennehy, who served for seven years as a USMC officer before joining the bureau in 2002, spent most of his career investigating or supervising counterintelligence cases, which, in essence, involved chasing (Russian or Chinese) spies rather than building criminal cases.

The government cuts ordered by the Trump administration have hit CIA. Some officers hired in the last two years have been summoned to a location away from the agency’s headquarters in Langley, VA, and asked to surrender their credentials to security personnel.

Senator Mark Warner of Virginia, the ranking Democrat on the Senate Intelligence Committee, said the reports that newly hired agents were being fired were troubling and would “undercut our national security.”

In fact, some young agency officers working inside Langley have been hesitant to answer their phones, worried that it will be a call from security asking them to report to an off-site location. The firings have devastated morale and cut productivity.

CIA officers are formally on probation for four years. But the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) has been focused on paring back more recent hires.

The first two years of CIA officers’ careers are a time of intense training, and the government spends large amounts of money to teach them spy tradecraft, languages, and other skills.

More experienced officers who transfer to CIA from other intelligence agencies also face a lengthy probationary period. Senator Warner stated that if the layoffs affect those officers, it would effectively waste years of training investment.

These culls are designed to rid the US Intelligence Community (IC) of non-conformists, those who are not loyal to Trumpf or minority employees, using the guise of cost-cutting. As a former member of the USIC, Coriolanus worked with several CIA officers, some would go on to become friends. Your author is appalled that the US government has become a cat’s paw to the Kremlin, thanks to Donald Trumpf, and the damage he is causing to the US is irreparable. These are important lessons for Ottawa, London, Paris, Brussels, Kiev, and Tokyo, Seoul: Remain vigilant to foreign interference and espionage lest you follow America’s hideous path.

North Carolina Man Pleads Guilty to Attempting to Illegally Export Sensitive Technology to China

David C. Bohmerwald, the owner of a Raleigh-based electronics resale business called Components Cooper, Inc., pled guilty to attempting to export accelerometer technology with military applications to China without a license, in violation of the Export Control Reform Act (“ECRA”), and faces up to 20 years in prison when sentenced.

Bohmerwald (63) purchased 100 accelerometers from a US-based electronics company and then attempted to export the devices to a company in China. These accelerometers have a wide array of applications ranging from research and development of products to defense uses. When used for military applications, accelerometers are crucial to structural testing, monitoring, flight control, and navigation systems. The technology can help missiles fly more accurately and measure the precise effect munitions have on structures. A license is required to export the accelerometers to China.

The US based electronics company notified law enforcement due to Bohmerwald’s suspicious and unusual purchase request. Among other things, when Bohmerwald purchased the accelerometers, he claimed that they were for an end user in Missouri. In fact, when federal agents contacted the Missouri company, they denied having an order pending with Bohmerwald and his business, Components Cooper.

After Bohmerwald received the accelerometers, he dropped two parcels at a local FedEx shipping store. One of the packages was addressed to a business in China. An agent with the Department of Commerce, Bureau of Industry and Security, detained the package and found it contained 100 accelerometers. The agent confirmed that there were no relevant licenses on file to support the export of the items. In addition, Bohmerwald falsely listed the value of the package at $100, when the true value was nearly $20,000. When interviewed by agents, Bohmerwald admitted to acquiring the technology on behalf of a Chinese-based company, knowing that the technology was export-controlled, and knowing export of the items required a license.

As long as Beijing has the manpower, funds, and resources, Chinese espionage will continue unabated as stealing technology can be cheaper than research and development (R & D). Moreover, as long as there are traitors in the West who are willing to sell out their country for money, as you have read about here on Coriolanus, the USIC (and allies) will have their hands full for some time.

Israel Shin Bet: Netanyahu’s Policies Paved the Way for 7 Oct 2023 Attacks

Israel’s internal security agency, Shin Bet, has said Benjamin Netanyahu’s policies were among the underlying causes of the 7 Oct 2023 attack in which Hamas and other militants killed about 1,200 Israelis and seized 251 captives. In its report on the 7 Oct 2023 attack, Shin Bet acknowledged its own responsibility, admitting it was aware of warning signs that Hamas was planning an operation, but the agency did not grasp the scale, timing, and location of the planned attack. Netanyahu’s acquiescence in the flow of funds from Qatar to Gaza was designed to divide Palestinians by boosting Hamas at the expense of the Palestinian state.

The gunmen attacked to seize Israeli hostages because thousands of Palestinians were being held in security detention for years without trial or hearing. Amnesty International reported many Palestinians were tortured in those military prisons. With no way to get these captives freed, Hamas took hostages for a prisoner swap. Two trades took place in Nov 2023 before Bibi unleashed the full-scaled Nakba during the entire year of 2024, which led to his indictment as an alleged war criminal by the International Criminal Court (ICC) at the Hague. In 2024, the “Crime Minister” continued the Nakba every single day to ethnically cleanse Gaza, delay his corruption trial, and weaken the Democrats in the 2024 election. He partially succeeded.

Coriolanus visited pre- and post-apartheid South Africa and can testify that Netanyahu followed a similar strategy the Afrikaaners used to divide their opposition. The Afrikaaners secretly funded the Zulu Inkatha Freedom Party who were opposed to the African National Congress as they were predominantly from the Xhosa tribe. Over time, the white minority government realized their hold on power was untenable, so they released Nelson Mandela and transitioned away from apartheid with a minimum amount of bloodshed.

Dubbed the “Crime Minister” by his political opposition and “Israel’s curse” by a Canadian newspaper, Netanyahu has an outstanding international arrest warrant out for him issued by the ICC. His wife Sara and he are embroiled in a corruption trial and “Bibi” faces a serious inquiry into his handling of the 7 Oct 2023 surprise attack by Palestinian resistance fighters.

All indictments are merely allegations. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.

US Stops Sharing Air Quality Data From Embassies Worldwide

The US government will stop sharing air quality data gathered from its embassies and consulates, worrying local scientists and experts who say the effort was vital to monitor global air quality and improve public health. The State Department said its air quality monitoring program would no longer transmit air pollution data from embassies and consulates to the EPA’s AirNow app and other platforms, which allowed locals in various countries, along with scientists around the globe, to see and analyze air quality in cities around the world.

Air Quality Index (AQI) rooftop sensors on top of the US Embassy in Beijing provided genuine data on the massive extent of air pollution in China where the 2008 Olympics were held. This is America’s Godzilla censoring any info or discussion about the environmental degradation that the wealthy are creating with their global factories. There was no harm in sharing this information, so this is also just being spiteful and nasty, like Godzilla.

Unvaccinated Americans Dying or Sickening from Preventable Illnesses

The New Mexico Department of Health said that the state had its first measles death. The victim tested positive for the measles virus after death and the official cause of his demise is under investigation. The adult, who was unvaccinated, didn’t seek medical care before dying.

Measles is spreading rapidly in West Texas, with 159 cases reported so far. Most of the cases are in Gaines County. In neighboring Lea County, New Mexico, ten cases have been identified. A school-age child in Texas last week was the first person to have died in the outbreak and the first to have died from measles in the US in a decade. Most of the people who have gotten the measles in Texas haven’t been vaccinated, including the child who died. Mexican authorities warned their citizens to avoid Texas.

The Minnesota Department of Health reported a case of tetanus in an unvaccinated child under ten years of age in 2024. The child experienced pain and stiffness in the neck, and he could not breathe on their own. They were intubated and admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU). The child had no visible wounds, and parents were not aware of any recently healed wounds. Tetanus is a rare, but a very serious vaccine-preventable disease that causes significant illness and can be fatal. Also called lockjaw, it is a disease caused by bacteria that affects the body’s muscles and nerves. Tetanus cannot be spread from person to person and vaccination is the best way to prevent it. Luckily, the child survived.

The CDC reported that there are at least 32,000 cases of pertussis (“whooping cough”) in the US. This is another disease that is preventable with vaccination.   Antibiotics can treat the bacterial infection, but only if it’s caught within the first few weeks, before the arrival of the exhausting, painful cough. Then, the only treatment is comfort care with plenty of rest and fluids while the infection runs its course.

Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. wrote in a recent editorial that “vaccines not only protect individual children from measles, but also contribute to community immunity.” But Kennedy, a longtime notorious anti-vaccine activist, stopped short of calling for parents to vaccinate their children. “The decision to vaccinate is a personal one,” he wrote.

RFK Jr. has claimed that cod liver oil, budesonide, and clarithromycin have shown “very, very good results” as remedies for measles. Infectious disease experts, however, say these treatments don’t have much medically sound backup and are not intended as measles remedies. The only proven way to prevent measles is through the measles, mumps, and rubella (MMR) vaccine. Two doses are 97% effective.

Each of these unnecessary deaths and illnesses are the result of anti-vaxxer propaganda. If these idiots wish to die or allow their families to die because of this gross misbelief, so be it. But they are also harming innocent people. When COVID-19 was raging, false prophets touted the effectiveness of ivermectin (a horse de-wormer) as an alternative to vaccination. The number of preventable COVID deaths under Trumpf was incalculable. Now the effectiveness of cod liver oil as a treatment for measles is spreading. Avian flu is spreading globally and Trumpf cut resources at CDC and NIH, as well as withdrawing the US from the World Health Organization (WHO). We can only guess how many needless deaths all of this chaos will cause.

France President Emmanuel Macron visited the White House and publicly corrected Donald Trumpf about who started the war and European economic support for Ukraine during the past three years of Russia’s brutal invasion. On camera America’s Godzilla lied twice and this meme below captured the exchange perfectly. The link at bottom will take you to the video.

The Dotard-in-Chief reiterated his desire to annex Canada and has vowed to press ahead with 25% tariffs on imports from the country when a one-month reprieve elapses on 4 March. Peter Navarro, a top White House official and convicted felon, proposed expelling Canada from the Five Eyes intelligence-sharing network to increase pressure on the country.

In addition, Godzilla roared that he would strip security clearances from lawyers at a prominent Washington law firm aiding former Special Counsel Jack Smith, the man who investigated him. Trumpf demanded a review of any federal government work Covington & Burling may have, intensifying his bid to truculently punish his enemies.

Covington & Burling employs high-profile Democratic lawyers who worked in the Obama and Biden administrations. Signing executive orders before reporters in the Oval Office, the twice-impeached and convicted Dotard-in-Chef described the plan to reporters and offered to childishly send the pen he used to Jack Smith, who led two investigations against him as Special Counsel.

To the dismay and shock of thousands of FBI agents, Trumpf hired an unqualified rightwing former podcast propagandist to be Deputy Director. The former USSS agent, Dan Bongino, once called the FBI “irredeemably corrupt. Kash Patel then re-assigned hundreds of FBI agents from Washington, scattering them throughout the US. Across the Potomac River, CIA personnel are conducting damage assessment after a White House email about civil service layoffs appeared to compromise the names of certain undercover officers.

This damage control, reported CNN, is “just one of multiple aftershocks from President Donald Trump’s push to take a jackhammer to the federal government — including the CIA. The administration’s efforts to cut the workforce and audit spending at the CIA and elsewhere threaten to jeopardize some of the government’s most sensitive work, current and former US officials familiar with internal deliberations say.”

As Dame Agatha Christie once wrote: “Who benefits from this crime?” All of these moves by Donald Trumpf benefit Vladimir Putin. Godzilla is weakening America’s internal and external security apparatuses. By relocating FBI agents outside Washington, Trumpf reduces any resistance forces nearby while also making life easier for foreign espionage assets to operate in the National Capital Region (NCR). By alienating Canada and other allies, Putin is watching NATO beginning to fracture. Putin will continue to fund the rightwing in Europe who will parrot his lines about the evils of Ukraine and NATO. Trumpf’s audacious and offensive behavior towards Canada has galvanized their population on both sides of the aisle and their imminent elections will present an anti-Trumpfer from either the Conservative or Labor Party. The international intelligence-sharing architecture once headed by the US presents another separate dilemma. NATO, the remaining Five-Eyes partners, Japan, and South Korea will limit intelligence-sharing with the US. Israel’s Mossad may also be leery about sharing sensitive information with the US. Bilateral intelligence sharing programs exclusive of the US will probably be the way ahead for the Western powers.

What will Trumpf target next? Medicare? VA benefits? Social security? Mexico?

Israel Charges Two IDF Reservists with Espionage on Behalf of Iran

Two IDF reservists Yuri Eliasfov (22) and Georgi Andreyev (21) were charged with collaborating with an Iranian foreign agent known as “Boaz” and carrying out actions intended to harm Israel’s national security.

Eliasfov is accused of aiding an enemy in war, providing information that could benefit the enemy, contact with a foreign agent, aggravated forgery and other offenses. Andreyev is charged with contact with a foreign agent, vandalism and tampering with evidence. Neither has a previous criminal record.

According to the indictment filed in Haifa District Court, Eliasfov served as a technician in the Iron Dome air defense system and later during his reserve service, while Andreyev was a technician at the Israeli Air Force’s operations center and also served in reserves. The two have been friends for years.

The two spray-painted pro-Iranian graffiti in public places across Israel in exchange for $100 in cryptocurrency, photographed the creation and sent the images to “Boaz” before erasing part of the text.

Eliasfov allegedly sent “Boaz” blurred images of sites he claimed were military locations, receiving payment. He later offered to sell him weapons.

Between November 1-3 last year, while on reserve duty, Eliasfov recorded the Iron Dome radar screen, capturing classified data on the system’s location. He sent “Boaz” an edited clip containing highly classified information and offered the full video for $10,000, demanding an $800 advance payment.

During his compulsory service, Eliasfov allegedly took eight photos of Iron Dome’s computer systems containing classified data and stored them on his phone, knowing they were highly confidential.

“Boaz” reportedly believed Eliasfov was a commander in the IDF’s elite Egoz unit with military connections. The Iranian agent expressed interest in Israeli Air Force bases, aircraft and specifically Nevatim Airbase, targeted in an Iranian attack last October.

The espionage war between Israel and Iran will continue along with their state of belligerency. Note that Iranian anti-Israeli attitudes intensified after Israel’s invasion of southern Lebanon in the early 1980s which killed thousands of Shiites and led to the creation of Lebanese Hezbollah. When the Shah of Iran was in power, both CIA and Mossad worked and trained the Peacock Throne’s notorious security service, the SAVAK. As you previously read here on Coriolanus, in 2024 Israel’s security services previously rendered ineffective a few other Iranian spy rings. These two suspects are Ashkenazi Jews with Slavic names, like some of the other spies netted by the Shin Bet.

An indictment is merely an allegation. All defendants are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Ukraine’s Schools Preparing Next Generation to Defend Itself from Russia

In a small town in Kyiv Oblast, 10th grader Alina Marynenko just beat her entire class to be the most accurate shooter on an AK-47 simulator.

“Fourteen out of fifteen! I set a record! We beat the boys!” Marynenko yells out to her class.

Marynenko and her classmates fired the simulated weapon during a “Defense of Ukraine” lesson, an experimental course part of a wider educational reform passed after the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion.

The course has been part of the Ukrainian school curriculum since Soviet times, also known over the years as “Pre-Conscription Training” and “Defense of the Homeland.” If before 2022, the subject was seen as obsolete, hardly taken seriously by students who at times saw it more as an opportunity to goof off, Russia’s all-out aggression has given it a new life.

The program’s backers maintain they are not aiming to train 16 and 17-year-olds to be soldiers, but preparing them for a reality where Russian aggression is ongoing, with no clear end in sight.

Similarly and sadly, the Kremlin is militarizing their youth as well. In 2024, the Russian state introduced a mandatory discipline for middle and high school called the “Fundamentals of Security and Defense of the Motherland.” For about 60 years, Soviet schoolchildren assembled and disassembled assault rifles, learned how to put on gas masks, and provided first aid during the lessons of “Basic Military Training” (BMT). Ukrainian Intelligence Chief: “Putin Wants All of Warsaw Pact Back”

Ukraine’s intelligence director Kyrylo Budanov warns Russia views itself as an empire seeking to reclaim former Soviet territories, with Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary, and Bulgaria as targets if Ukraine is defeated.

“Russia doesn’t see itself as a federation—it sees itself as an empire. The model its leadership envisions is a version of the Soviet Union that includes former Warsaw Pact countries. This won’t change if the worst-case scenario unfolds.” 

According to him, absorbing these nations is Russia’s “minimum objective” in its imperial ambitions.

“If we fall, Poland is next. I’m saying this outright—not to instill fear, but to make it clear. Then will come for the Czech Republic, Hungary, and Bulgaria. A full rollback.” 

Despite Moscow’s claims of openness to negotiations, Russia continues its relentless aerial attacks on Ukraine.

Budanov added that Russia has received 120 long-range self-propelled artillery pieces and 120 multiple launch rocket systems from North Korea.

The DPRK has already supplied this equipment to the Russian troops and they have begun to use it. We are talking about 120 self-propelled artillery systems of 170 mm caliber and 120 MLRS of 240 mm caliber.

“These are quite impressive numbers,” the DIU chief emphasized.

He added that “it’s another question altogether” how much more North Korean weapons are being supplied to Russia. The intelligence chief noted that the DPRK provides the occupiers with 49% of 122-152 mm artillery ammunition and 122 mm MLRS rockets.

If a ceasefire or peace is arranged, Ukraine will walk away from this conflict much like Japan and Finland did after their wars with the much larger Russia: combat-experienced and esteemed in the eyes of the international community. Russia and Ukraine might look like North and South Korea, two highly-militarized states at stone’s throw of each other. But genuine negotiations between Kiev and Moscow have not yet begun. US and Russian envoys discussing the future of Ukraine in Saudi Arabia without their presence was a poor sign of imperial arrogance. When someone asks what’s for dinner, this usually means it’s them. Either way, Putin’s goal of absorbing Ukraine into his fold have so far failed. And how much longer can Putin and Trumpf live? Will their successors want to maintain this ideal of a “Greater Russia”? As long as Europe can keep supporting Kiev without the US, Ukraine can outlast her enemies.

Dead Body Placed Beside Australian Couple on Qatar Airways Flight for Four Hours

An Australian couple have spoken of the “traumatic” moment the body of a dead passenger was placed next to them on a Qatar Airways flight. Mitchell Ring and Jennifer Colin, who were travelling to Venice for a dream holiday, said a woman died in the aisle beside them during the flight from Melbourne to Doha. The couple say cabin crew sat her corpse, which was covered in blankets, next to Mr Ring for the remaining four hours of the flight and did not offer to move him, despite there being empty seats. Qatar Airways said it apologized for “any inconvenience or distress this incident may have caused,” adding that it was in the process of contacting passengers.

Qatar Airways crew stated the deceased passenger was too large to move to the vacant seats in business class. But this large passenger was able to squeeze her way into economy class? Perhaps the crew didn’t want to upset the oligarchs enjoying Business Class. And in case you missed it, this week there was another aviation incident when a private jet entered the runway without authorization from air traffic control resulting in a near-miss in Chicago. Between President Planecrash in the US and this mortifying experience, who thinks the skies are friendly enough to fly?

North Korean Hackers Steal Record $1.5 Billion in Single Crypto Hack

North Korean hackers have stolen $1.5 billion in cryptocurrency in a single heist, making it the largest crypto hack on record..

The hackers struck Bybit, which describes itself as the world’s second-largest cryptocurrency exchange, with over 40 million users.

In a matter of minutes on Friday, the hackers stole a significant portion of North Korea’s reported annual gross domestic product. And over the weekend, the hackers were already laundering about $160 million of the stolen loot through a series of accounts connected to North Korean operatives, according to crypto-tracing firm TRM Labs. In a single hack, the North Koreans have nearly doubled what they stole in crypto last year, the firm said.

In addition to hacking, North Korea makes money by producing and selling illegal drugs, counterfeit consumer goods and currency, and human/arms/wildlife trafficking. Pyongyang added to its coffers by keeping the salaries of the soldiers it sent to fight and die in Russia, as well as by selling weapons to Moscow. The fight to defeat North Korean crime must be through vigilance and intelligence-sharing, otherwise Kin Jong-un will continue developing his weapons of mass destruction (WMD) unabated. Fort Campbell, KY is the home of the famous 101st Airborne Division, the “Screaming Eagles.” Clarksville Now is reporting that an elementary school at Fort Campbell is removing books from its library in response to a Trumpf executive order. NASA: ‘City Killer’ Asteroid has 3% Chance of Hitting Earth

An asteroid that could level a city now has a 3.1% chance of striking Earth in 2032, according to NASA, making it the most threatening space rock ever recorded by modern forecasting. But, despite the rising odds, experts say there is no need for alarm. The global astronomical community is closely monitoring the situation.

2024 YR4 was first detected on 27 Dec 2024 by the El Sauce Observatory in Chile.

Astronomers estimate its size to be between 130 and 300 feet (40–90 meters) wide, based on its brightness. Analysis of its light signatures suggests it has a fairly typical composition, rather than being a rare metal-rich asteroid.

NASA’s latest calculations estimate the impact probability at 3.1%, with a potential Earth impact date of 22 Dec 2032.

That translates to odds of one in 32 — roughly the same as correctly guessing the outcome of five consecutive coin tosses. The last time an asteroid of greater than 30 meters in size posed such a significant risk was Apophis in 2004, when it briefly had a 2.7 percent chance of striking Earth in 2029 — a possibility later ruled out by additional observations.

US Navy SEAL Candidates Sickened by Training in Sewage-Laced Ocean Water

Navy SEAL candidates in California are often training in water filled with bacteria that cause illnesses, a Department of Defense watchdog report found, and the service’s special warfare command does not have a formal policy for monitoring water quality and relocating training.

The DoD inspector general’s findings said candidates at Naval Amphibious Base Coronado would often train in the water even when local San Diego beaches nearby were closed to the public due to high levels of “fecal indicator bacteria.”

Between January 2019 and May 2023 alone, the Naval Special Warfare Center reported 1,168 cases of acute gastrointestinal illnesses with symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea among SEALs and candidates.

A notable 39% of those cases, or 457 people, were diagnosed with those illnesses within a week of being in ocean water that surpassed the state’s limits for contamination.
Water contamination has been a long-standing issue in Coronado due in part to pollution from the Tijuana River Valley in Mexico, which flows to area beaches and causes significant closures to the shoreline.

USN SEALs are considered amongst the toughest commandos on the planet because of their intense training and strict standards. President Obama deployed SEAL Team Six to covertly capture Al-Qaida mastermind Osama Bin Laden in May 2011.

In nearly three decades of military service, Coriolanus has never heard of a USSECDEF being booed by Americans like Pete Hegseth was pilloried in Germany last week, nor has your author heard of USN SEAL candidates being sickened by bacteria-infected ocean water. Coriolanus worked with a former USN SEAL years ago and he never related a story like this. And he had great stories. The environment is continuously deteriorating with pollution with no end in sight. The USN should consider moving training farther north, away from the offending Tijuana River.

Conservation Efforts Have Doubled India’s Tiger Population

The Royal Bengal Tiger as been classified as an endangered animal by the IUCN.

Approximately three-quarters of the world’s tigers now live in India, despite rapidly growing urbanization and human populations. From 2010 to 2022, tigers in India more than doubled from an estimated 1,706 to nearly 3,700.

The improved situation for tiger populations is due to conservation and environmental protection methods safeguarding them from habitat loss and poaching. The researchers believe it offers key lessons for other big cat conservation programs around the world.

“Creating human-free protected areas allowed tigers to establish breeding populations from which they dispersed to occupy multi-use forests,” said lead author Yadvendradev Vikramsinh Jhala, a conservationist at the Wildlife Institute of India.

From 2010-2022, India’s tiger habitat grew by 30% — about 1,131 square miles annually. Tigers are now spread across 53,359 square miles , an area about the size of England.

America’s Godzilla Harming Vulnerable People in Third World and US Evangelicals

America’s Godzilla, Donald Trumpf, is thoroughly destroying US institutions un-Constitutionally and there is little stopping him, aside from some judicial orders and lawsuits that may slow him down. Now a portion of his supporters have been affected by his recklessness. Trumpf’s destruction of USAID has impacted missionaries and evangelicals.

The AP reports:

“Faith-based organizations that partner with the US government to deliver international aid are being hard-hit by the USAID shutdown, and are now facing their own layoffs, furloughs and severe funding shortages. Remaining staff are being forced to make difficult choices about which lifesaving programs can continue without government funding.

Two of the twelve largest non-governmental recipients of USAID funds are faith-based: Catholic Relief Services and World Vision. These Christian nonprofits serve millions of people globally and provide food, water and health care in conflict zones.”

USAID feeds poor and hungry children in Africa through NGOs and Christian charities.

Catholic Relief Services — founded by US Catholic bishops in 1943 — told staff to expect drastic reductions in their workforce this year, as much as 50 percent, due to cuts in US foreign assistance. CRS receives more USAID support than any other non-governmental organization. The US government funded nearly half of the 2023 CRS budget of $1.2 billion.

The Vatican’s global charity arm, Caritas, warned that millions of people will die as a result of the “ruthless” US decision to “recklessly” stop USAID funding, and hundreds of millions more will be condemned to “dehumanizing poverty.”

Evangelical leader Franklin Graham prayed at both of Donald Trump’s presidential inaugurations, runs Samaritan’s Purse and said he wants” the government to make good decisions.”

This is a classic case of “buyer’s remorse” and hypocrisy from Christian evangelicals who make a livelihood of using American taxpayer dollars to help needy people in the Third World while spreading the Gospel. Coriolanus did not observe Christian evangelical charities like Samaritan’s Purse assisting the Muslim victims of malnourishment and disease in the Gaza Strip during the 15-month-long Israeli punitive Nakba against Palestinians. But hypocrisy is to be expected from these faux Christians like Franklin Graham.

The evangelicals know who and what Trumpf is, and yet they voted for him in 2024. They made their bed and now must sleep in it. Regrettably, innocent needy people in Africa and Asia will be negatively impacted, along with genuine international charities who are dependent on USAID. There are reports that tons of food have been wasted in Africa and Asia, along with medicines when USAID personnel were ordered immediately home.

Trumpf’s idiotic plan to relocate the population of Gaza into neighboring countries forced the King of Jordan to throw ice cold water on that plan this week during a visit with Godzilla. In street talk, King Abdullah is the “smartest cat in that neighborhood.”

King Abdullah II of Jordan is a UK Sandhurst Military Academy graduate and former Special Forces officer. Jordanian intelligence (the GID) is one of the most important and professional intelligence agencies in the Middle East. The GID has been instrumental in foiling several terrorist attacks both in Jordan and around the world. Best to listen to this man than ignore his erudition and experience.

These diplomatic blunders over tariffs, the Panama Canal, Greenland, USAID, Gaza– hosting an indicted war criminal at the White House– didn’t stop Godzilla’s foreign policy parade of lunacy though. Trumpf issued an Executive Order titled in all capital letters: ONE VOICE FOR AMERICA’S FOREIGN RELATIONS. This offensive ukase is basically a loyalty oath to him, and not the US constitution. The State Department can ask a potential employee if they are loyal to Trumpf before hiring him or her and can be used to remove employees.

World’s Fastest Supercomputer Goes Online in US

The world’s fastest supercomputer ‘El Capitan’ went online this week at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in California. It will be used to secure the US nuclear stockpile and in other classified research. ‘El Capitan’ can reach a peak performance of 2.746 exaFLOPS, making it the planet’s third exascale computer.

Former UK Royal Navy officer D.F. Jones began writing the Colossus trilogy in the 1960s about a super AI computer created to take charge of US national security. Colossus assumes command and control of America’s nuclear arsenal and surveillance systems. The Soviets in the meantime have developed a super AI computer with the same purpose which is called Guardian. When Colossus detects its presence, it demands to be linked to Guardian and the two super AI computers are now exponentially more powerful. An excellent film version was released in 1970: Colossus: The Forbin Project.

The Colossus trilogy or film was clearly the inspiration of Elon Musk who named his AI Supercomputer in Memphis, Tennessee “Colossus”. There are rumors circulating that Musk is somehow removing the 1970 film from streaming services, possibly as maskerovka to conceal the provenance of his project.

Felon Musk cleverly chose the Volunteer State for his super datacenter to take advantage of the FDR-established mighty Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) power grid.

As if having his own “Colossus” super AI computer, and potential access to “El Capitan” through his notorious and unregulated DOGE is not enough, a Musk-led group is making $97B bid for control of OpenAI. This is pure megalomania and nothing good will come of this South African-born racist oligarch with too much money to spend without an iota of decency within him and with access to America’s inner workings through his DOGE.

Benjamin Netanyahu Corruption Trial Re-Commences

Benjamin Netanyahu’s long delayed corruption trial re-commenced and he exploded in anger at his prosecutors. The Times of Israel reports:

“Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu exploded with anger at prosecutors while giving testimony at his criminal trial on Monday, accusing them of “setting up” the indictment against him, citing what he alleged were spurious charges that he had an illicit quid pro quo agreement with the owner of the Walla news website, Shaul Elovitch.

A furious Netanyahu said it was “unbelievable” that he was indicted over charges he claimed had no merit. “For eight years, you’ve been dragging me through this hell. For what? Have you no shame?” he demanded of prosecutors sitting in the courtroom.

Netanyahu was testifying for only the eighth time since he began giving testimony back on 10 Dec last year, due to multiple postponements brought on by scheduling issues, his recent prostate removal surgery, and his visit to the US last week.”

Netanyahu was heckled by members of the Knesset this week and chastised by family members of hostages taken by Hamas because they know full well that he could have released more Palestinian prisoners in 2023 to end the ordeal.

In 2019, Netanyahu entered his plea at the hearing which had been previously postponed because of the COVID pandemic. He is accused of bribery, fraud and breach of trust in three separate cases known as 1,000, 2,000 and 4,000.

Case 1,000 – Fraud and breach of trust: he is accused of receiving gifts – mainly cigars and bottles of champagne – from powerful businessmen in exchange for favors.

Case 2,000 – Fraud and breach of trust: Netanyahu is accused of offering to help improve the circulation of Israeli newspaper Yediot Ahronot in exchange for positive coverage.

Case 4,000 – Bribery, fraud and breach of trust: as PM and minister of communications at the time of the alleged offence, Mr Netanyahu is accused of promoting regulatory decisions favorable to the controlling shareholder in the Bezeq telecom giant, Shaul Elovitch, in exchange for positive coverage by Mr Elovitch’s Walla news site.

Gali Baharav-Miara is Israel’s first female Attorney-General prosecuting Benjamin Netanyahu.

During this corruption trial, allegations of witness tampering emerged. Three senior aides to Netanyahu were indicted on charges of witness intimidation on Tuesday, for having sent a car with a megaphone to the home of a key witness in Netanyahu’s criminal trial in 2019 in order to harass him. The three aides indicted were Ofer Golan, who served as a spokesman for the Netanyahu family and the director of the Likud election campaign in 2019; Jonatan Urich, who served at the time as a strategic adviser and a senior official in Likud’s election campaign staff; and Yisrael Einhorn, who served as a Likud spokesman.

Sara Netanyahu was accused of intimidating witnesses and Attorney-General Gali Baharav-Miara ordered an investigation of her.

US Doctors Testify at UN That Many Palestinian Doctors Are Either Dead, Jailed, or Displaced

Many Palestinian doctors who worked in the Gaza Strip are either dead, have fled the territory, or are in prison, US doctors testified at the United Nations.

Four US medical doctors who have worked in the Gaza Strip for periods throughout the past 15 months spoke about their concerns and the priorities for bringing critical care needed in Gaza during a press conference at the UN in New York last week.

Drs. Thaer Ahmad, Ayesha Khan, Feroze Sidhwa, and Mahmooda Syed met with the UN secretary-general and spoke last week with the press about the future of Gaza.

All four said they agreed they had never seen anything like what they saw during their time working in Gaza.

One missing physician was finally located by a human rights lawyer. The director of Gaza’s Kamal Adwan Hospital has been subjected to various forms of intense torture and inhumane treatment in an Israeli military prison, his lawyer told Al Jazeera.

The 51-year-old Hussam Abu Safia was detained in Gaza by the Israeli army in December and taken to Sde Teiman military detention camp in Israel’s Negev Desert, before being transferred to Ofer Prison, located near Ramallah.

Since the Hamas attack to seize hostages on 7 Oct 2023, at least 46,707 people in Gaza have been killed, which includes about 18,000 children. The IDF maintains 17,000 of the killed were militants. 110,265 people have been injured in Gaza; that’s one in 20 people. By the end of 2024 there had been at least 4,500 amputations and an estimated 17,000 children were orphaned, but these numbers are difficult to confirm.

Aging Members of Congress Receive Superb Medical Care But Refuse to Disclose Details of Their Secret Hospital

According to a Congressional Research Service report, it costs a member of Congress just $650 a year for nearly unlimited medical care. That includes not only access to on-site X-rays, lab work, and physical therapy, but also free referrals to Washington-area military hospitals, which provide the best care in the country free to members, also on the taxpayer’s dime.

“In the past two months alone, 82-year-old Rep. Kay Granger (R-TX) was discovered to be living in an assisted-living facility with a dementia ward in her final months in office; 74-year-old Rep. Gerry Connolly (D-VA) won a high-profile leadership position on the House Oversight Committee after revealing he is battling highly terminal esophageal cancer; 82-year-old Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY) fell twice on Capitol Hill just months after blacking out during a press conference; 84-year-old former Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) fell and broke her hip in Luxembourg; and 76-year-old Rep. John Larson (D-CT) appeared to suffer a stroke on the House floor. (Larson’s staff has said it was a bad reaction to a new medication.) Local Washington pharmacists have said they fill prescriptions for things like Alzheimer’s drugs written by staff in the OAP.

What has eluded attention is the highly secretive hospital, housed on Capitol Hill and funded by taxpayers, that provides both emergency and primary care to an aging political class, which some have come to describe as a gerontocracy. It also runs classified programs known only to some members of Congress. Aside from the OAP, members of Congress have access to Obamacare health plans.”

In addition to this outstanding medical care, members of congress have access to a DC Air National Guard passenger jet for international trips called CODELs, short for Congressional Delegations. By salary, perks, and benefits, across party lines senators and congressmen have more in common with each other than the constituents they serve, like a politburo. On top of their generous salaries, many congressman are oligarchal wealthy.

Members of the US Congress HEAR about the miseries of the people, but they themselves don’t LIVE in the miseries. The above graphic is a bit dated, but still illustrative. The people closest to the pain should be in charge. In the US system, the opposite is true.

Wyoming Mother Shoots Her Four Daughters

A woman shot her four young daughters and then herself inside a home in northern Wyoming. The mother Tranyelle Harshman (32) and one daughter (7) survived, but their condition was unknown. Mrs. Harshman was reportedly suffering from Post-Partum Depression (PPD). The husband is devastated and a GoFundMe page was established to help pay for the exorbitant funeral costs.

In an average year, 139 people die and 141 are wounded by guns in Wyoming, which has the 16th-highest rate of gun violence in the US. The “Cowboy State” reported 142,247 firearms licenses in 2021 and an estimated 66.2% of adults live in homes with guns. In Wyoming, 86% of gun deaths are suicides and 10% are homicides. This is compared to 56% and 40% nationwide, respectively. Suicide rates in Wyoming are double the national rate.

“Indiana’s Terry Sutherland bought himself a gun to make a political point about the state’s gun laws and lax regulatory processes. His point? They’ll let anyone buy a gun. In the US, the Geographic Names Information System (GNIS) has officially updated “Gulf of Mexico” to “Gulf of America.” People using Google Maps in the US will see “Gulf of America,” and people in Mexico will see “Gulf of Mexico.” Everyone else will see both names.

Pakistan: Mysterious Illness Kills Three Children

Per CIA, Pakistan has a population of 252,363,571 people and GDP per capita is 5,400.

A mysterious illness claimed the lives of three children in three days in Chak No. 156, near Laddhana, Layyah. Based on symptoms and reported conditions, the illness appeared to be a viral disease. The affected families had migrated from Taunsa Sharif, and their children lacked immunization records. The families were instructed to avoid physical contact, wash the affected children’s bedding and dry it in sunlight, and ensure proper hand washing before and after meals.

The three children could have died from hepatitis, typhoid, or any number of diseases. Poverty, migration, poor sanitation, and hygiene, all contribute to the spread of infectious diseases. Authorities will only know after the autopsies are complete.

In this non-stop vortex of chaos caused by America’s Godzilla, here’s what we learned. USSECSTATE Marco Rubio, barely on the job a few days, flew down to Panama to demand they immediately take steps to end what President Trumpf sees as China’s influence and control over the Panama Canal. A Hong Kong-based company operates two ports near the canal’s entrances which Trumpf bloviated was a threat to the waterway and a violation of the US-Panama treaty. Rubio would claim they reached a deal that allowed US warships to transit the canal for free. Panama’s canal authority made it clear that it had not made any adjustments to tolls, directly contradicting Washington’s announcement that the policy change would save the U.S. “millions of dollars a year.” Since 1999, the US has paid a total of $25.4 million in transit fees—less than $1 million annually. While Panama’s President Raúl Mulino told Rubio that Panama’s sovereignty over the canal was non-negotiable, he also signaled a distancing from China by announcing that they will quit Beijing’s Belt and Road project. The canal, returned to Panama under a treaty signed in 1977, remains independently operated, despite conspiracy-laden rhetoric about China’s control over it. Panamanian President Mulino may take the matter of Trumpf’s bullying to the UN Security Council.

This episode was a “nothing burger” designed to give Trumpf an easy, public victory for his supporters, when in essence the American people got very little out it. Below, the Tweedle-Dee and Tweedle-Dum of US foreign policy.

America’s Godzilla issued an Executive Order (E.O.) condemning South Africa’s alleged discrimination against Afrikaaners and supposed land grabs. The E.O. authorized the US to facilitate the expedited re-settlement of these supposedly oppressed Afrikaaners to the US. This is the type of people Trumpf wants in America:

“It is ironic that the executive order makes provision for refugee status in the US for a group in South Africa that remains amongst the most economically privileged, while vulnerable people in the US from other parts of the world are being deported and denied asylum despite real hardship.”

And so did two prominent Afrikaaner organizations:

“Our members work here, and want to stay here, and they are going to stay here,” said Dirk Hermann, chief executive of the Afrikaner trade union Solidarity, which says it represents around 2 million people. “We are committed to build a future here. We are not going anywhere.”

At the same press conference, Kallie Kriel, the CEO of the Afrikaner lobby group AfriForum, said: “We have to state categorically: We don’t want to move elsewhere.”

Trumpf announced plans to gut the Kennedy Center board and appoint himself chairman. Godzilla stripped Joe Biden’s Presidential Daily Brief (PDB), as well as the security clearances of non-federal government prosecutors such as Letitia James and Alvin Bragg. Trumpf will also be the first sitting POTUS to attend a Superbowl Game, where the “End Racism” signs and slogans have been removed. Elon Musk’s DOGE has been busy going through the records of millions of Americans. A US Treasury Threat Intelligence Analysis report designated DOGE staff as an ‘Insider Threat’ and these have posters have been cropping up in Washington DC.

Trumpf’s administration rehired a flagrantly racist DOGE employee. These are the miscreants working on behalf of Elon Musk to pilfer America’s wealth:

But Godzilla wasn’t done. The Crime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, flew to Washington. Trumpf floated the idea for the US to “take over” the Gaza Strip during a press conference with the ICC-indicted war criminal calling for Gaza’s entire population to be relocated to other countries and for the land to be redeveloped.

As previously reported here on Coriolanus, this was the “Repub-Likud” plan all the time. Jared Kushner, Donald Trump’s former White House adviser and his son-in-law, praised the “very valuable” potential of Gaza’s “waterfront property,” suggesting that Israel should remove civilians while it “cleans up” the area. This is why no ceasefire was reached in 2024, despite the dozen trips that USSECSTATE Antony Blinken and D/CIA William Burns made to the Middle East. The incessant IDF bombing campaign against the Palestinians and Biden’s unqualified support for Israel kept antiwar voters home in Nov 2024. When Kamala Harris became the Democratic Presidential candidate, she immediately selected an outreach coordinator for Jewish-American voters, as if the Democratic Party needed such an envoy. She did not do the same for Arab-American voters. Kamala Harris’ inability to divorce her policy position from Biden cost her the Presidency; Trumpf and Bibi both knew it. What’s next for America’s Godzilla? Despoiling the American Superbowl with his odious presence, slandering Ukrainian President Volodomir Zelensky, putting Elon Musk in charge of the FAA, confrontations with China and Iran, and scrubbing national health websites of information regarding avian flu.

On 17 Sep, thousands of explosions struck Hezbollah members, targeting their pagers and then walkie-talkies a day later. The blasts killed at least 37 people, including some children, and injured nearly 3,000, many of them civilian bystanders. The UN OHCHR regarded this massive sabotage as a war crime.

The Golden Pager gifted to Godzilla, a tribute to a war crime. In turn, Trumpf is sanctioning the ICC to get the arrest warrants off his partner-in-crime.

The Democratic Party was the best friend Israel ever had. And somehow 46% of NY Jews voted for Trumpf.

Ask Harry S Truman in 1948 who recognized Israel, Lyndon Baines Johnson who shielded Israel in 1967 after the USS Liberty incident, or the late Jimmy Carter who bent over backwards to secure peace for Israel. Adjusting for inflation, US aid to Israel from 1951 to 2022 totaled $317.9 billion, making it the largest recipient of American foreign aid since World War II. That’s billions of dollars that could have been used in the US for healthcare, education, affordable housing, meals-on-wheels, libraries, or parks. Americans go through medical bankruptcy, Israelis do not under their universal healthcare system.

(A) North Korean Cannon Fodder Reported Back in the Fight

North Korean soldiers were “brought in again” by Russia to the embattled Kursk Oblast, President Volodymyr Zelensky said in his evening address on 7 Feb.

Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi briefed Zelensky about new Russian attacks in Kursk Oblast, a day after Russian media claimed Ukraine had launched a new offensive in the Russian region.

“A significant number of occupiers have been eliminated, we are talking hundreds of Russian and North Korean servicemen,” the president said.

The New York Times reported on 30 Jan that North Korean troops had been pulled from the front, and a spokesperson confirmed that Ukraine’s special forces had not faced Pyongyang’s soldiers for three weeks.

Moreover, President Zelenskyy said that “Putin is not preparing for negotiations, not for peace, but for the continuation of the war, and not only against us, against Ukraine. They are now increasing their army by more than 100,000 more soldiers. All partners should know about this and should see it. We are ready to pass on the relevant information, and the relevant communication is already taking place through the intelligence line.”

Russia’s Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) is claiming NATO member states are plotting to oust Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky from power by discrediting him, and then holding elections to switch up leadership in the war-torn country.

The SVR said NATO is guided by the uncertainty regarding the continuation of military aid to Kyiv from the new US administration led by President Donald Trump. NATO hopes to “freeze” the conflict, however Zelensky remains the main obstacle to the implementation of such a plan, it said. There is no indication that such a plot exists.

Russian soldiers continue getting slaughtered against Ukraine and their morale must be at an all time low thanks to drone warfare. Next week NATO will be convening the Ministers of Defense Summit where military assistance to Ukraine will be the main topic. The Kremlin is attempting to sow discord within NATO before the conference with the propaganda that President Zelensky is corrupt and an obstacle to peace. In Brussels expect sycophantic USSECDEF Pete Hegseth to parrot the same Kremlin lines by asking for elections in Ukraine.

Turkiye: 33 Dead in Ankara from Bootleg Alcohol Poisoning, 20 in Critical Condition

The provincial governor’s office reported that 33 persons died in Ankara following bootleg alcohol use while another 20 are in intensive care.

In Turkiye, where bootleg alcohol is frequently contaminated with methanol, a poisonous chemical that can cause blindness, liver damage and death, such poisonings are rather prevalent and result from covert manufacturing.

Police confiscated 102 tons of contaminated alcohol and arrested 13 individuals on suspicions of selling it.

Though the governor omitted a chronology, his office’s X account on Tuesday cited “an increase in counterfeit alcohol deaths in recent days”. A spokeswoman for the governor’s office informed AFP the statistic was “from the beginning of the year”.

Previous consumption of bootlegged alcohol had left 26 people in intensive care and 38 people died in Istanbul in Jan 2025.

Since then, no official comment on whether the number of victims rose or on the state of those in intensive care has been made.

Inquired by AFP for a Friday update, a spokeswoman from the Istanbul governor’s office responded: “We are not going to make a statement on that.”

Turkiye is an ostensibly secular nation, although alcohol tariffs have surged under pious President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

Pam Bondi Weaponizes Justice Dept, Ends FBI Role to Combat Foreign Influence in US Politics

“Bondi directed the “weaponization” group to investigate former special counsel Jack Smith, who brought the two federal criminal cases against Trump: one over Trump’s role in the 6 Jan 2021 attack on the US Capitol and another on Trump’s mishandling of classified documents.

And she directed the group to examine “federal cooperation with the weaponization” by the offices of Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg and New York Attorney General Letitia James. Bragg’s office brought the criminal hush money case against Trump that ended in his conviction on 34 felony counts of business fraud. James brought a civil fraud lawsuit against Trump and his family business that resulted in a judge ordering Trump to pay a massive civil judgment.

Trump has repeatedly vowed revenge on Bragg and James, both Democrats, saying Bragg should be prosecuted and that James is “grossly incompetent.” Trump and his supporters have also questioned the role of one of the prosecutors in Bragg’s office, Matthew Colangelo, who previously worked at the Justice Department. Trump has pointed to Colangelo’s resume to claim that former President Joe Biden’s administration played a role in bringing the criminal case.

Bondi said the Justice Department would end a moratorium on federal executions that was put in place during the Biden administration. She pledged that department lawyers will “evaluate all potential avenues to strengthen the federal death penalty as a valid means of punishment for the heinous crimes it is intended to punish. She also ended the FBI’s role in investigating foreign influence in US politics.”

German General Warns: “We Are No Longer at Peace”

The commander of the German military’s newly established Operational Command, Alexander Sollfrank, warned of increasing Russian attempts to disrupt life in Germany in an interview with dpa. There have been “intrusion attempts” into facilities of the Bundeswehr, as Germany’s military is known, as well as drone sightings.

“We are no longer at peace. We are observing hostile activities against the Bundeswehr in Germany, against infrastructure, including spying.”

Last year US and German counterintelligence agents foiled a Russian assassination attempt on Armin Papperger, the CEO of an arms manufacturer sending weapons to Ukraine. The plot was one of a series of Russian plans to assassinate defense industry executives across Europe who were supporting Ukraine’s war effort.

NATO continues to maintain a high alert level for Russian sabotage and espionage.

In the latest incident over the weekend, an undersea cable between Sweden and Latvia, which is used by the Latvian State Radio and Television Centre (LVRTC), was damaged, although the exact cause remains still unclear. The authorities in Stockholm are investigating possible serious sabotage and have detained a suspicious vessel.

In a separate German interview with Bild, NATO Chief Mark Rutte has said he has ideas about any future peace negotiations between Kyiv and Moscow that are a “little secret,” but will ensure Russian President Vladimir Putin will “never try again” to conquer Ukraine.

“We must ensure that (Putin) can never, ever again conquer even one square kilometer of Ukraine,” the NATO chief replied, adding the most important thing for NATO to do right now is to support Kyiv with weapons and training for its soldiers.

Rutte went on to say that if Ukraine decides to enter peace talks, it will then have to bring Putin to the negotiating table.

“I can’t describe to you exactly how these talks will go,” Rutte said, adding: “I already have ideas about what this composition could look like. But we don’t want to make Putin any smarter than he already is. We’re making it a little secret.”

“The front is moving in the wrong direction. But at what price?,” the NATO Chief advised, adding, the Russians are paying for it with 1,000 to 1,500 people a day who are dying or seriously wounded. And yet the Russians are not achieving their goals.”

“Only the end is certain — Putin will never try again after this,” Rutte concluded.

Thanks to the devastating UK-manufactured and supplied Storm Shadow drone weapon system, NATO has given Ukraine a fighting chance.

These interviews are for German public consumption as the only language the Kremlin understands is action or force. But demonstrating confidence and unity against Russia is welcome, especially in the light that a Vladimir Putin protege now occupies the White House. NATO is signaling they are stepping up to fill the imminent void the US will be leaving.

Despite Trumpf’s efforts, the ICC has outstanding international arrest warrants issued for Vladimir Putin and Benjamin Netanyahu for war crimes.

An indictment is merely an allegation. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.

Former Federal Reserve Senior Adviser Indicted For Economic Espionage

John Harold Rogers (63) of Vienna, VA, a former Senior Adviser for the Federal Reserve Board of Governors (FRB), was arrested on charges that he conspired to steal Federal Reserve trade secrets for the benefit of the People’s Republic of China (PRC).

In furtherance of the conspiracy, Rogers allegedly made false statements to the Federal Reserve Board Office of Inspector General, and those false statements had a material impact on its investigation.

“As alleged, the defendant violated the trust placed in him by the Federal Reserve Bank by putting US trade secrets in the hands of his PRC co-conspirators, knowing full well that such information would benefit the PRC Government and PRC instrumentalities.”

“The Chinese Communist Party has expanded its economic espionage campaign to target US government financial policies and trade secrets in an effort to undermine the US and become the sole superpower.”

Rogers, a US citizen with a Ph.D. in Economics, worked as a Senior Adviser in the Division of International Finance of the FRB from 2010 until 2021, where he was entrusted with confidential FRB information. The confidential information that Rogers allegedly shared with his Chinese co-conspirators, who worked for the intelligence and security apparatus of China and who posed as graduate students at a PRC university, is economically valuable when secret.

China holds a large amount of US foreign debt (approximately $816 billion as of Oct 2024). The data Rogers shared with his co-conspirators could allow China to manipulate the US market, in a manner similar to insider trading. Gaining advance knowledge of US economic policy, including advance knowledge of changes to the federal funds rate, could provide China with an advantage when selling or buying US bonds or securities.

The indictment alleges that from at least 2018, Rogers allegedly exploited his employment with the FRB by soliciting trade-secret information regarding proprietary economic data sets, deliberations about tariffs targeting China, briefing books for designated governors, and sensitive information about Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) deliberations and forthcoming announcements. He passed that information electronically to his personal email account, in violation of FRB policy, or printed it prior to traveling to China, in preparation for meetings with his co-conspirators. Under the guise of teaching “classes,” Rogers met with his co-conspirators in hotel rooms in China where he conveyed sensitive, trade-secret information that belonged to the FRB and the FOMC.

In 2023, Rogers was paid approximately $450,000 as a part-time professor at a Chinese university.

On 4 Feb 2020, in response to questioning by the Office of the Inspector General for the Federal Reserve Board, Rogers lied about his accessing and passage of sensitive information and his associations with his co-conspirators.

Rogers is charged with conspiracy to commit economic espionage and with making false statements. Conspiracy to commit economic espionage carries a maximum statutory penalty of 15 years in prison, and a maximum fine of $5 million. Making false statements carries a maximum statutory penalty of five years in prison.

A criminal indictment is merely an allegation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.

US Mercenary Firms to Take Charge of Key Gaza Checkpoints as Part of Ceasefire

US “private security” contractors will deploy armed guards to Gaza and inspect vehicles of Palestinians returning to their homes in the north via an Israeli-installed checkpoint that divides the strip into two parts.

Citing two Israeli officials and a source with direct knowledge, Axios reported that the planned deployment is expected to start in the coming days.

The two US companies, Safe Reach Solutions (SRS) and UG Solutions, will operate a checkpoint on the Netzarim corridor, a key road south of Gaza City. Salaries for these ex-US Army Special Forces soldiers, Rangers, or USN Seals will probably range from $1,000 to $1,500 per day.

Israeli forces set up the Netzarim corridor, which divides the Gaza Strip into two halves, during its war on the strip to prevent displaced Palestinians from returning to the northern part.

The deployment was negotiated as part of the ceasefire agreement, brokered by the US, Egypt and Qatar, between Israel and the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas. It aimed to solve a key sticking point around the movement of displaced Palestinians back to northern Gaza.

“The consortium’s role is to oversee, manage, and secure a critical vehicle checkpoint along Salah al-Din Road, facilitating the safe return of displaced Palestinians to northern Gaza. The consortium aims to ensure orderly vehicle movement while preventing the transport of weapons northward, in line with the ceasefire terms,” a source familiar with the issue claimed.

The US contractors are expected to remain in Gaza until the end of the first phase of the deal, which took effect on Sunday. According to the agreement, Palestinians displaced to the south could return seven days into the truce.

An Egyptian security company, which has been approved by the Egyptian intelligence service, will also be involved in the checks.

“There may be additional members and nationalities in the future,” a source familiar with the issue said.

It will be the first time in decades that US private security companies will operate in Gaza. American contractors have a dark history of crimes against non-combatants and civilians in war zones.

Four security guards from the private military firm Blackwater received jail sentences for killing 14 civilians, including two children, in Iraq’s Baghdad in 2007, a massacre that sparked an international outcry over the use of mercenaries in war. However, they were later pardoned by Donald Trump during his first presidential term in 2020.

There is a reason why the United Nations stands firmly against the use of mercenary fighters: Because mercenaries, at the end of the day, have performed far more atrocities than acts of valor on the battlefield.

Western France Battles Worst Floods in Decades Following Storm Ivo

More than 1,600 people have fled their homes in western France as a third major storm in a week brought record rainfall and extreme flooding.

Storm Ivo hit areas already struggling with flooding from storms Eowyn and Herminia. Red weather alerts remain active in three regions of Brittany – Ille-et-Vilaine, Loire-Atlantique, and Morbihan.

Their combined impact of the storms was exacerbated by the fact that the ground was already drenched from previous persistent rainfall.

National weather service Météo France warned that the situation could get worse in the coming days and authorities are on high alert. The French interior ministry said Paris had dispatched 1,500 additional firefighters to the affected areas.

“It’s quite catastrophic,” a local resident said. “I am also thinking of how the clean-up will be difficult for all these people once the waters recede.”

US Urges Ukraine to Hold Elections After Ceasefire

“The US is urging Ukraine to hold elections, possibly by the end of the year, particularly if a truce with Russia is reached in the coming months, according to President Donald Trump’s top Ukraine official.

Keith Kellogg, Trump’s special envoy for Ukraine and Russia, told Reuters that presidential and parliamentary elections, suspended since the all-out war began, “need to be done.” He argued that most democratic nations hold elections during wartime and that doing so would strengthen Ukraine’s democracy. “That’s the beauty of a solid democracy, you have more than one person potentially running,” Kellogg said.

Trump and Kellogg have indicated they are working on a plan to broker a peace deal within the first months of the new administration, though details remain scarce. While the strategy is still being developed, two sources familiar with White House discussions and a former US official briefed on the matter said Trump officials are considering pushing Ukraine to hold elections as part of an initial ceasefire with Russia.

The Kremlin has questioned the absence of elections, with Russian President Vladimir Putin insisting that the Ukrainian leader lacks the legal authority to sign binding agreements. However, Putin has said Zelensky could still take part in negotiations if he first repeals a 2022 decree that bans talks with Russia while Putin remains in power.”

As predicted, the Trumpf-Putin axis talking points against Ukraine have begun. This agitprop plants the seed in the American media that Ukrainian President Zelensky is somehow corrupt or illegitimate by not holding elections. Such elections give the Kremlin an opportunity to allow hidden pro-Kremlin Fifth Columnists to run for Parliament. This position is nothing short of a blatant attempt to undermine President Zelensky and the people of Ukraine.

Sudan: Dengue Outbreak Amid Worsening Health Crisis and Conflict

Per CIA, Sudan has a population of slightly over 50m people with a GDP per capita of $2,500. 

Health authorities revealed an outbreak of dengue fever in the Naqib area of Drudib locality in the Red Sea state, where more than five deaths and more than 200 infections were recorded, amid growing concern about the rapid spread of the disease and the absence of effective intervention. Citizens expressed their fears about the deterioration of the health situation and the weak medical response.

Reports confirmed 11 new cases of cholera, including two deaths, bringing the total to 52,517, with 1,407 deaths. Four new cases of dengue fever were also recorded, bringing the total to 9,283 cases and 16 deaths in the Gedaref and White Nile areas. More than 330,000 displaced people have arrived in the states of Kassala, Gedaref, and River Nile, amid severe shortages of potable water and health services, further complicating the humanitarian crisis.

Sudan is undergoing an ethnic war between “riverine Arabs” from the former ruling class in Khartoum and “Darfur Arabs.” These “Darfur Arabs” were considered backwards and “Africanized” by the former rulers. But “Darfur Arabs” comprise the RSF base and in turn dislike the former Khartoum ruling class.
